Rogues are the masters of stealth and trickery. They run the moral gamut, from freedom fighters and treasure hunters to thieves and assassins, but most share a common disregard for the law and a knack for fighting dirty. Armed with stealth, sneak attacks, and poisons, few characters can survive a surprise onslaught by a well-prepared rogue.
In many ways, rogues are a class unto themselves. They share many qualities in common with front line fighting classes such as monks and warriors. Because they must deliver their attacks from behind, however, they are at a disadvantage in a one on one confrontation unless they get the drop on their opponent. When all else fails, however, rogues can resort to poisons and sudden actions to gain the upper hand.
