Hi, my name is Tim (in real life) and I'm new to Shards of Orn. I created an accound on this site a few days ago and tried to create my first character. However, when I try to RSVP to say that I AM coming to the August 13 weekend, it doesn't allow me to choose which character I am going as. I was wondering if maybe my character creation didn't go through, or what. If anybody can help me, please either respond to this forum or send me a message. I'd really like to RSVP ahead of time so that the Plot Team can keep me in mind. Thank you! :]
Thanks so much, Thad. It worked! Must have been my mistake. And yes, I'm VERY excited about going. I and two of my friends are coming, all of us new to LARPing. We're all psyched about it, but a little overwhelmed and nervous about how everything works. I've been reading everything on the site, and I'm still a little lost. Hopefully I'll get the hang of it once we're in the thick of things.
Believe me, it seems that way to everyone the first time. Then you get in the thick of it and realize it's not nearly as daunting as you expected. We try to keep the rules relatively simple, and if you know anything about roleplaying from other genres (tabletop, for instance), it translates well. Just pay close attention to the pre-game checklist and let us know if you have any questions ahead of time.

Hello Tim. Believe it or not, the system is working properly. The character you created is an NPC. If you would, please recreate him as a PC and he'll show up in the RSVP drop-down list.
