Into the warriors hall, it is rather quiet and not even one person is here training. Hmmm thinks Corvax things have become real lax around here. Corvax starts walking around looking at things he has seen these items and weapons before but never really looked at them, he makes his way over to the training dummy. Looking at the dummy from afar he can see that there is a grove worn into the floor from people practicing there foot work moving around the dummy. Corvax touches an arm of the dummy then gives it a little push, the dummy moves back from the push in a short twisting motion and then recoils back with and opposite arm. Corvax looks over his shoulder to make sure he is still alone in the hall, then drops into a fighting stance and begins to do a slow and sloppy version of what the fighters call shadow boxing. After a minute or so Corvax tires and in one last bravado of combination punches he hits the dummy hard in the face, with that the dummy swings backward and snaps forward smashing Corvax in the face. Corvax crumples to the floor knock unconscious.
Corvax slowly comes to his senses, noticing a bone forearm right in front of him Corvax acts quickly thinking he is under attack. He reaches out grabs and pins the arm to his chest then rolls his right shoulder up, over ,and towards the floor throwing the skeleton to the floor. Corvax jumps to his feet to put some distance between him and his adversary but the head trauma brings Corvax to a kneeling position.
Hearing the commotion from outside, Astrum rushes in. What he sees is Stiers on the ground and Corvax holding his head in a weak battle stance. Quickly bracing his legs, Astrum locks his arms and a fireball forms between his fingers.
"What's going on here?" he asks cautiously, ready to strike.
Corvax slowly casts a healing spell and places it directly on his forehead, this clears the pain and fog in his head. Corvax stands up straight opens his eyes and takes a moment to figure out what has happened. Seeing Stiers getting up Corvax realizes what happened and extends his hand to help the young fighter saying " I apologize young man, I took a bump to the head and was not in my right mind are you OK?" While helping Stiers up Corvax notices Astrums flaming hand and says " My fought it's OK I think he is OK." Looking at Corvax you can see both of his eyes are blackened and he has a small knot above his right eye.
Letting the flames flicker out, Astrum comments, "you may want to see Haven. That healing spell doesn't seem to have picked you completely up. Your sentence is also running together a bit. Come along." Astrum then takes Corvax by the arm and begins leading him to Haven.
A familiar voice can be heard from behind Corvax as Master Dalgoon appears from his shroud of invisibility. ?To the wizards tower??!!? the wizard asks, fury burning in his eyes. ?Do you mock me boy!! The wizards tower is destroyed!?
The wizened old man pushes up his sleeves and stomps towards Steirs threateningly, ?I?ll make the rest of your body resemble your arm for your insult!?
"Woo, Wait Mr Dalgoon I'm sure Stiers meant no harm." "OOO" Corvax says touching his forehead, allot just happened everyone is hurt I think we just need to be as friendly as possible and forget this ever happened." Corvax pulls out some healing herbs from his pocket and starts chewing on them. As corvax continues talking you can see leaves and stems on his front teeth."Stiers what did you mean when you said wizard tower, are the young wizards trying to rebuild?"
Astrum comments hotly,
"He is in no way associated with the new mages' guild. We have developed a strict code in which there is no place for the likes of HIM- or any of those who would call him friend for that matter!" A jar shatters next to Stiers' head at a glance from Astrum's venomous eyes. "I take my leave."
Turning towards the door, Astrum lifts his hood and storms out, fire dancing on his fingertips.
Wreynn steps out of the shadows, chuckling a little bit looking at Corvax as Astrum storms out the door.
"Stiers might not be associated with the mage guild, but that little pup of a fireball might want to speak with some of the other mages about who they may or may not have offered a place in their guild."
Wreynn reaches into his pocket and pulls out a small handfull of intricately wrapped sweets, "Dalgoon, is it? Mr, Master, Sir, or Mage? I'm not sure I've ever heard your formal title, but it seems you may command some respect around here." Outstretching his hand to Dalgoon, palm upwards he offers, "Candy, anyone? Oh, and Corvax, unless you're working on looking like me, you really might want to have that eye of yours checked out."
Hearing that the druid is more than coherent enough to fight back if he had intended to, Dalgoon stays his hands just before throttling the young Steirs.
Dalgoon looks dubiously at the outstretched hand of the young Urdek. ?No office intended my young friend , but the last time I ate anything an Urdeck gave me I awoke on a slave ship bound for Rastimere. So I shall pass.? Dalgoon smiles curtly.
Rounding once again on the stammering Stiers, dalgoon says,?You dare to continue to run your wormy mouth at me, do you take me for a fool? You seek my wizard?s tower for your own! My new apprentice said so himself.? Dalgoon looks agitated at something in the doorway. ?Where did he go? Thalenir! Thalenir! Come back I need my seat!? Dalgoon tromps off through the doorway looking for his apprentice.
Wreynn watches from the corner as Stiers haphazardly hits the training dummy, chuckling to himself. The thought of Corvax with a black eye, well on his way to being a Urdek in training made him chuckle with delight. The wild and inefficient swings of Stiers amused him nearly as much.
"I don't know what you did to irk the mages so much," Wreynn advances toward the dummy striking it with the pommel of his half-drawn sword. Backpedaling enough to fully draw the blade, he side steps toward the rear of the dummy and swings it down sharply separating the shoulder, "but I don't think that you should mess with that Dalgoon." Quickly surveying for the natural weak points of the dummy, Wreynn draws a small knife from his belt and plants it deep into the join.
"Food sounds good right about now, you're buying right?" he says, stepping away from the dummy and joining Stiers at the door, "but, I'm not really one for the beer. It hampers the senses and dulls the wit. But I'll gladly sip tea with you, its one of the few things left that I was able to salvage when the goblins came." Stepping out the door, Wreynn pulls a knife from inside his vest, a small scrap of paper attached to the end, and flings it over his shoulder at the dummy.
Leaving the warriors hall, Wreynn turns to Stiers and says, "If you're going to practice killing a man, make sure your target isn't going to be able to follow you home." He didn't have to look, he knew the dagger was stuck firmly between the dummy's "eyes".
