By popular demand, I've added rules for dueling to the alignment system. Characters may engage in a duel regardless of alignment. There are only three important rules to follow.
- Dueling is strictly voluntary. All participants in a duel must agree to it beforehand.
- Those not involved in the duel may not interfere in it.
- The duelists may stipulate any number of terms to the duel (e.g., forfeiture of treasure, restriction on use of certain abilities, healing for the loser, compulsion of public apology, etc.). If a good character is involved in the duel, these terms must be honored.
I can dig it. A good "civilized" way of settling disputes between characters in game that does not mean you have to flag to do it. The only question I would have would be whether plot needs to be advised of the duel beforehand or not?
