Let's face it; LARPers swear. We're notorious for it. I do it, too. There's no rule against it because, frankly, there wouldn't be any point. It'd be like prohibition. There's no stopping it, so we just go with it.

I draw the line at disrespect. This is right in the code of conduct; if you're being disrespectful, it's against one of the game's main tenants. As such, it's grounds for disciplinary action.

I recently received complaints about grossly inappropriate language in chat. The word "cumbucket" was mentioned. I agree that terms like this are simply uncalled-for, in or out of play. It's offensive and childish and has no place in our community.

That being said, I don't plan on punishing anyone for saying it. All that I'm asking is that we all be respectful and mindful of the fact that we're speaking in mixed company. What may be acceptable to one person may be rude and vulgar to another. If you're the one who finds something offensive, ask the person politely to stop. If you're the one being offensive, be considerate enough to stop when asked.

I trust everyone here to exercise common courtesy. I know you guys won't let me down.
