Pre-Game Checklist
Ready to join the adventure? Great! Here is a complete checklist for how to get ready for your first event.
- Register on the website. Your first step is to create an account on the site. This will allow you to create characters, RSVP for events, and collaborate with your fellow players.
- Build your first character. Although you can choose to play as a full-time monster, it's more fun to play a character of your own creation. Spend some time perusing the Character Building section of the Game Guide for character options you like. When you're ready, head on over to the character creation page.
- RSVP for your first event. RSVPing lets everyone know that you'll be playing, which helps the plot team to better plan the event with you in mind. You can RSVP by going to the information page for the event you'd like to attend (see the Event Calendar for a full list) and clicking the RSVP button.
- Fill out your paperwork. All participants are required to fill out a legal release and player information form before they play. Participants under the age of 18 will also need a parent or guardian to sign their release. These will be provided for you when you arrive, but it saves time to print them out and complete them beforehand.
- Pack everything you'll need. This includes in-play props like boffer weapons and costuming as well as out-of-play necessities like food and bedding. Check out What to Bring for a more thorough list.
- Check the event information page. Every event has its own page with the most up-to-date information on when and where the event is occurring. It's a good idea to check this page right before an event to get directions and read any other event-specific announcements.
- Prepay. Payment for your first game is optional (see Special Discount: First Game Free for more details). After that, you'll need to pay the standard admission fee for each event you attend. If you prefer, you can prepay online by going to the event information page and clicking on the Prepay button.
