On the Healer's Den door wondering if Nevara and Adyslaine has returned from their journey to address the issue with the red crystal. (wrap)(wrap)(wrap)Kevass calls out "Nevara, Adyslaine are you in? Hello is anybody home?" Kevass tries again "Nevara, Adyslaine are you home? Have you returned from your journey?" If there is no response Kevass grows concerned about their whereabouts considering the last he knew they left to investigate some crystal related to Scorch.
A subtle sigh of relief comes from Kevass's lips as he enters the Healer's Den "Hello Lady Nevara, I was concerned for you and Lady Adyslaine's well being. There have been too many deaths and mishaps these days. I heard no news of your return from your journey following Scorches demise. (Kevass remembers himself and recovers his normally confident demeanor.) Did your journey bare fruit?"
"While I am here, I do have a couple of things to take care of. I have posted a notice at the town post, but I can pass this information on in person now. I have just come from a conference with Temperance, Paladin of Sanctuary. She has informed me that she has fears that an undead cretin known as a vampire has passed from their shard to ours. This devilish creature should have fangs and a deathly pallor to it, and due to it's allergy to sunlight it will mostly wander at night. So do mind the shadows and strange newcomers calling at night. Temperance also informed me that they have a weakness to prime magic which may be of interest. I hope not to panic anyone, but I feel as if people should know to better protect themselves."
"On a lighter note. I would like to ask Adyslaine if she knows or has some literature on Istensia, Cassandra du Soleil, The Company of Seven, Arimir, Lemesin, and Arkrist. I have a big decision to make and I want to be well informed on it. Is she in?"
"Thank you for your concern but we neither succeeded nor failed really. We were unable to find a way to destroy the stone but, with the Ogre's help, we managed to keep it from the Gnolls that Scorch had sent to retrieve it. Then it simply disappeared in a flash of magic. After speaking with Sabian, Azriel and Despair, we concluded that it vanished around the time that you all killed Scorch so I do not know whether he ultimately regained it or not.
A vampire? Interesting, if I recall correctly they are one of the more parasitic forms of undead but pose a significant threat as they retain their intelligence. I will certainly be on my guard for anything or anyone extraordinary.
I have not seen Adyslaine yet this morning. One moment."
Nevara crosses the room to a closed door. Knocking on the doors she says, "Adyslaine, you have company. Are you available to speak?"
The scrape of a chair across the floor can be heard from the room opposite and seconds later the door opens.
Adyslaine pops her head out of the door and nods at Nevara. "Greetings, Nevara. I'm always available for chatting."
She then looks around the room and notices Kevass.
"Oh! Greetings to you as well, Kevass. Was it you that wished to speak to me?"
Kevass turns to Adyslaine, "Yes, it is nice to see that you and Nevara are ok after your journey. I know you are well informed about all things Orn. I would like to seek your assistance in finding some information on some of the Ageless, and the Ascended. I feel I have need for some guidance for my future endeavors, but I don't really know enough about the Immortals to make an informed decision. If you have time, I have a list of the Immortals I would like to know more about. Do you have any tomes or know yourself any information on Istensia, Cassandra du Soleil, The Company of Seven, Arimir, Lemesin, and Arkrist? Any help that you could provide would greatly be appreciated?
As Kevass rattles off the names of the Immortals, a twinkle appears in Adyslaine's eyes and she turns around, heading back into the room she just exited.
Over her shoulder, she calls to him, "Keep talking, Kevass! I'm just searching for what you need."
A thumping and scraping can be heard from the room and after several moments, a breathless Adylaine calls out, "I have several tomes on all of those subjects. In fact..."
She bustles out of the room with an unbound stack of papers in her arms, the top of which falls just below her nose.
"...I have written quite extensively myself on the subject of The Company of Seven. I just haven't had a chance to put it in book form and have it published."
She drops the pile into Kevass' arms and flounces back into the other room, once again calling out to him, "I should have everything you need to begin your research, but if you wish to know more and aren't in too much of a hurry, I will be needing to head to New Jastrey and the Library. With my priviledges there, I may be allowed to bring back what you need."

As Kevass thumbs through some of the pages, "That is wonderful Adyslaine, I knew you would know where to look. I truly enjoy your enthusiasm. In my clan, none of us knew how to read. We passed all of our lore through the speaking of the wordy word. Our Shamans were the best at singing our stories and customs. Corvax taught me how to read shortly after we met. I have become like a sponge with anything I read. I am ashamed that my clan has been so ingnorant. Since learning to read it has opened my eyes to so many new things I didn't know before. I guess when your first lesson in life is how to fight for your meals, you don't really think about anything else." Kevass pauses "I am rambling. However long it takes, I can wait. Thanks again. Can I help you lift anything?"
"Come in"
As you enter you see parchment and a large tome covering Nevara's desk. She stands behind the desk having obviously just risen from her seat with her quill still in her hand.
"What's wrong?"
