Katri walked into the tavern from her stop at the town post, a nearly ridiculously thick book and some writing materials carried in her hand. She figured it was time she did some of the work that "enlightened" white hair had dumped on her for all her misbehaving. Not that the Uordeq girl would do so silently, she grumbled irritatedly to her self. To any one listening occasional words like "crazy," "idiotic," "ridiculous," "bunny obsessed lunatic" and "slave driver" could be heard clearly.
Her grey-black-ringed eyes scanned the tavern for an empty table, those that knew her could likely see a colder change in the aura around her. She seemed different. Finally settling on a table neat the left middle of the building, she dropped the heavy book on to it with a loud thump. Neatly tapping the stack of parchment she carried back into alignment, she sat down and unstoppered her bottle of black ink. With a glance at the book and and a quick shake of her head, she sweapt her dark hair up and pinned it into a bun using a long strip of red cloth to ensure it was secure. She flipped open to the first page and growled low in her throat when she saw the strange language written there. Sighing she closed her eyes and gathered her self, still mumbling under her breath. With a gaze that held mutiny, she opened her eyes again and began reading [decipher script].
Every few pages, she would stop and cast murderous glances outside before dipping her quill in ink and writing down a neat paragraph or two before repeating the process all over again. "Damn you, Astrum..."
Chataya walks in the tavern, and notices Katri with her head over a book. She smiles, grabs two drinks, and sits across from Katri.
"Hey there. I see our friend Astrum has you busy." She chuckles, and hands Katri a drink. She watches the girl with a kind smile on her face, obviously delighted in the change over her.
Katri's glare doesn't break, "I could still take eet to heem for you eef you write on your own parchment. You don't haff to practice on my work."
Katri sighs and leans over, resting her forehead on the thick tome. Sliding a clean piece of parchement from under the top piece, she hands it to Ohren without looking up, "Use THAT. "
"Eet's like having a large child around...." Sitting up, Katri shook her head with a slight grin at Chataya before beggining to quickly transcribe her work to another, non-Angori marked page.
Katri's eyes dart to her now ruined annotations, over half a page's worth of small, neat handwriting, and then shoots a sharp glare a Ohren. "You haff got do be kiddink me... OHREN VHY ON EARTH DID YOU DO THAT??"
Katri rests her head in her palm then looks at the angori, "Next time ASK and i vill giff you some parchment to practice on instead of writing on MY homevork from that crazed Empyrean so I haff to rewrite eet all!"
Growling lightly under her breath, She moves the ruined parchment out of the way and shakes her head at the Angori. A few minutes later she was back to reading and taking down new annotations, muttering once more about an "enlightened" Empyrean in quite colorful language.
