Character Races

Angori
Hailing from their home continent of Angor, the angori are a fierce, warlike race that shares a common ancestry with minotaurs and ogres. Despite this monstrous bloodline, most angori manage to maintain peaceful, if uneasy, relations with the other races of Orn.
Dwarf
Denizens of the mountain halls, dwarves are a stout but proud race renowned for their hardy constitutions as well as their skill with steel. Although they tend to come across as surly to surface-dwellers, their ties to the other civilized races of Orn run as ancient and deep as the mountains themselves.
Elf
Known amongst themselves as the sequemati, elves have dwelt deep in the forests of Orn since the time of the Dawning. They are renowned for their keen senses, their uncanny grace, and their strong bond with nature.
Empyrean
Also known as the startouched, the first empyreans were said to be human wizards who attained magical transcendance by harnessing unknown cosmic forces. So strong was their connection to the heavens that it has passed down to all of their progeny through the generations. This bond imparts them with an innate capacity for magic as well as an exceptionally long lifespan, while at the same time making them extremely sensitive to cosmic events.
Fairy
Also known as the fey or the sidhe, fairies are an elusive race of whimsical, magical beings. Despite their fanciful demeanor, however, they are considered by many to be bad luck.
Gnome
Dwelling side by side with their distant cousins the dwarves in underground cities, gnomes are a diminutive, rosy-cheeked folk famed for their magical and technological aptitude.
Goblin
Goblins are small, green humanoids who are, at best, viewed as nuisances by the civilized races of Orn. Lacking an organized society of their own, goblins congregate in small camps and prey on travelers. Some of the more ambitious groups try to raid towns and villages, but most goblins are too cowardly to attack a superior foe unless coerced. Physical Description Goblins are most often short in stature, with green-hued skin and high-pitched voices that grate on the patience of all who hear them.
Human
Humans are, by far, the most common race of Orn. They are a people of many customs and cultures, from the swarthy seagoers of Rica to the grim folk of Tarkalsys to the desert nomads of Sirison. Humans have no racial skills. However, humans are a versatile bunch and enjoy weak skill affinities for every skill.
Ixifar
Nobody is quite sure how the ixifar, or "Phoenix Folk" as they are sometimes called, came to be. Legend says that they were nomads once. Wandering through the desert, they chanced upon a golden oasis ruled by an ancient phoenix, who welcomed them and, in time, blessed them as its own children. Thus do all ixifar share the phoenix's vibrant plumage and strong connection to the Prime.
Uordeq
Also known as shadowfolk, dusklings, or more colloquially as the children of the eclipse, the uordeq are a race touched by the cursed twilight of their homeland. Dwelling in the shadows, most uordeq are feared and mistrusted by the light-dwelling races of Orn.
