Armored Combat

5-Rank Combat Skill

Base Cost – 5

Allows a character to wear armor and use shields. For each rank, the character can use up 20 points of armor (e.g., 20 armor points at rank one, 40 at rank two, 60 at rank three, etc.). A character who attempts to wear armor above the limit for his or her rank does not benefit from the excess armor points. For more information on armor, see the armor section of the game guide.

Additionally, a character with at least two ranks in Armored Combat is able to use a shield. A character who attempts to use a shield without proficiency must treat the shield as his or her body for the purposes of using it to block.
