Ore

  • Adamant is an ultra-hard metal that can only be harvested from rare volcanic deposits deep within the Maelstrom. Weapons and shields made of adamant are naturally immune to Ruin effects. A piece of brigadine or platemail armor crafted from adamant grants 60 material points for the torso or 10 material points for an appendage. Note that adamant ore is impossible to melt down or rework once it has been crafted into an item.

  • Copper is often favored as a cheap alternative to more exotic metals when crafting jewelry.

  • Dream silver condenses as a fine powder where Astral mists escape into the mortal realm. Wearers of jewelry made from dream silver are able to retain their senses while unconscious, allowing them to perceive their surroundings and awaken themselves from sleep at will. This applies during normal sleep, induced sleep, or unconsciousness brought on by wounds, but not while the wearer is dead.

  • Too delicate for use in armor or weapons, fealsworn gold is prized by jewelcrafters for its ability to magically cling to the flesh of the wearer. No amount of external force can remove a piece of fealsworn jewelry against the wearer's will, making it impossible to pilfer. The wearer may still voluntarily remove it without difficulty.

  • Magmite is a naturally magnetic mineral. When carefully treated, a magmite weapon will cling to its wielder's gauntlet, preventing it from being Fumbled.

  • Lightweight yet durable, mithril is a choice metal with which to fashion armor. A piece of chainmail, brigadine, or platemail armor crafted from mithril grants 20 material points for the torso or 4 material points for an appendage. Note that mithril ore is impossible to melt down or rework once it has been crafted into an item.

  • Spellsteel is a special metal which can only be mined from rare meteors that fall from the Aether. Flecked with tiny blue crystals, it earns its name from its ability to conduct magical energy. A weapon made of spellsteel can be used in place of packets to deliver any packet-delivered action or attack. Spellsteel confers no additional benefit when made into armor, and is impossible to melt down or rework once it has been crafted into an item.

  • Warp crystal is a hard, opaque substance filled with indistinct clouds of gray and silver. It chiefly grows among natural crystal formations in caves occupied by extraplanar creatures, but may also be cultivated by wizards through artificial means. A skilled jewelcrafter can cut warp crystal into a weapon, which, if ever broken, releases the energies within the crystal and allows the wielder to teleport a short distance.
