Named for one of the seven heavens, the serathine are the guardians of the honored dead and gatekeepers of paradise. They typically appear as immaculately beautiful, winged humanoids wearing shining or glowing apparel. Most are not typically dangerous unless a traveler attempts to violate the sacred place or soul they have been charged to protect.

Blight Elf

Afflicted by disease and turned mad, these elves are sensitive to light and decrepit, but thrive in darkness. Their image is that of an elf with pale, scabbed flesh with pulsing black veins, and hair that is starting to fall out from the roots.

Iron Eater

Submitted by Patches on Tue, 7/9/2019 at 3:29am

Appearing as a 10-foot-long cockroach with tentacles instead of antennae, the iron eater is a creature that derives most of its sustenance from metal objects.

Much like its cousin in the same taxonomic family, the rust monster, the iron eater will voraciously eat any iron-based equipment that it can get its hands on, though unlike its cousin, it will also eat some wood, fabric, and precious metals in order to get a more balanced set of nutrients.

Slepnir Moose

Submitted by Patches on Tue, 7/9/2019 at 2:02am

Appearing as an extra-large moose with midnight-black fur and eight, slightly-elongated legs, this nocturnal creature is essentially a moose, twisted by necromancy and prefers to live a mostly peaceful life in the wraithwood and other supernatural forests that tend to show up as less-than-friendly when inspect aura is used.

These massive, thick beasts wield a heavy club with unimaginable power. Known to remove large trees from the ground during a battle, not for show of force, but from sheer clumsiness, as their awkward gait would confirm.

Fire Bal

Submitted by Marloff on Thu, 6/6/2019 at 3:55pm

Appearing as ordinary fire when standing still, the fire Bal takes on humanoid form when in motion. Nasty, hate filled creatures whose sole intent is to destroy, kill, or otherwise consume.
