Note: If you are younger than 18, you will need to have your legal release signed by a parent or guardian in order to participate. If you are younger than 16, you will have to be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Please see the game policy on age restrictions for more details.
We'll be holding a formal fighter practice on Saturday, March 19th, 2011 from 10:00am to 4:00pm at Optimist Farm in Apex. This will give everyone an opportunity to get back into the LARPing spirit and give new folks a chance to meet the old guard, ask questions, and try the game on for size. We'll also be play testing some new game mechanics before the official start of the 2011 season.
The event is free for everyone, and garb is not required. We'll be fighting outdoors, so be sure to dress comfortably and bring boffer weapons if you have them. No food will be provided, so be sure to bring that as well. If you're new, please pay close attention to the Pre-Game Checklist; with the exception of building a character or prepaying, everything on the list is still relevant, particularly paperwork.
No skill points or boon will be awarded just for attending, although there may be prizes given out for participating. More than anything, this is just an excuse to get together and have fun after the long break.
