Melee

You trigger a Melee ability by attacking the intended target with a melee Weapon or Unarmed Attack. If you do not have the Proficiency to use the Weapon, it is Ruined, or the arm wielding it is Maimed, you cannot use the ability.

Disarm

You cannot use the affected item for 5 seconds. You do not drop your weapon.

You must release your grip on the affected item for five seconds. Items that are fastened or otherwise secured remain as such.

Burst

A Burst ability includes the "Burst" prefix as part of the tagline and affects all characters close enough to hit or be hit by you in melee at the time it is called. The ability cannot be avoided or blocked, though countering and immunity apply normally. If the effect is detrimental, everyone in range takes the affect regardless if they are flagged for PvP or not. If the effect is beneficial, you may choose to affect yourself as well.
