A Bit of Reading

Morzoth can be seen reading a book in the tavern (yes... i said a book). apon further inspection anyone can see that the book is an angori blacksmithing how to book. Morzoth would run his finger across the page in what seems to be random motion and then stare up as if to think from time to time.

Barbaal enters the tavern to find his brother at the table with a strange object. "Was 'at?" he asks his older brother as he takes a seat.

it wasn't much longer before a dark robed figure passed with sweeping steps into tavern. Only the drag of her robes could be heard between her steps. She passes to the table, hood drawn, and pulls the edge of the bench from the table a bit to sit with her back resting against the wall. She placesher silver goblet on the table, lifting next her bottle of wine and opening it to allow the dark red liquid to pour into the cup, easing back with the sour smell of alcohol wafting from it's rim.  Lifting the silver to her lips, she tastes of the rotted and fermented fruit, her pale features bland, and no hint of emotion forming across her lips as she rests leans back against the tavern wall. Her eyes watch dully across the tavern, observing the occupants, hidden by the black folds of her hood. seeming at relative ease, though her watch is constant, she sits among the other two angori, listening quietly to their conversation.

Morzoth Looks up to see the two sitting there and focus' on barbaal "this here brother is a book an angori book about black smithing and i beleive it is a picture book but a book none the less"

"A...book? What's it for?" Barbaal says with a confused look on his face. He peeks over the top of the book to see what the pages hold. After looking at a few images he sits back down with an even more confused look on his face and calls for a drink.

Katri slips quietly into the tavern after several days' absence from jastrey yet again. She notices Barbaal and Morzoth at a table and raises her eyebrow at the latter, "Angori read?"

She sat on a bench not far from the pair and shot a glance at her pale looking mentor.

Akon doesn't seem to acknowledge anyone in particular, eyes entirely unseen, though they watch through the folds of her fabric. Despite her lack of acknowledgement however, there is a distinctive feeling that she indeed knows you are there. It wasn't long before she rose to speak with Zenphere, and then returned likewise, reaching agian for her wine bottle. "I'm assuming no one touched it while I was away? I'd rather not enjoy poision with my morning breakfast." She sat, filling her cup again.

"I doubt anyone has touched your wine, Lady Nivarian. Unless a ghost has decided to kill you, I've seen no one near it." Katri answers quietly, just loud enough for the other Uordeq to hear. Her gaze lights evenly with about where Akon's eyes should be hidden beneath her hood.

Something in the young Uordeq's manner may seem different to those who know her. She is calm and her voice and expression are blank and even. Her sword is nowhere to be seen and the quiver at her hip is nearly empty. Her face is somewhat pale and tired looking and the discerning eye might detect blood at the hem of her cloak. Pausing another moment in her gaze on Akon, she turns her attention back to Morzoth and Barbaal leaning over the book.

After having a few drinks Barbaal begins to scan the tavern for any more familiar faces. His eyes fall upon the two Uordeq sitting nearby. He gives a meaninful nod to Akon and then bellows out to Katri. "Oi! Katri! 'Aven't seen you 'round 'ere in while! Where you been? Off on some great hunt or somefing?" Finishing his 3rd or 4th mug of ale, he quickly calls for another.

Katri lets out a low laugh that doesnt quite reach her eyes, "Something like that, Barbaal. How goes work on the crimson quarter? Do you know?"

She gets up, listening for the answer as she grabs a drink and returns to sit once more on the bench near the Angori brothers.

"Well, I 'aven't done any work dere yet but I plan on it soon. I fink my brotha and Ohren 'as worked on it a bit. It'll be a bit easier to do now dat we've got a bit of time."

"That's good." Katri nodded, taking a sip of her drink. "I wish you all luck in it's completion."

"Fanks Katri." Barbaal belched finshing yet another mug of ale. After ordering another round and a steak to eat, he asks the Uordeq, "So what was you after on dat hunt of yours? Anyfing in particular or just lookin' for a fight?"

"No, I sought nothing in particular. I suppose you could say it was for the fight." Katri replied after a moment, taking another drink from her mug.

Something about the quick mentioning of the word "hunt" roused Blisdon from a comforting sleep in a nearby bush and brought him sleepily drifting into the tavern, his nose following the scent of refreshing ale and sizzling meat that was  hanging in the air before stopping at  the crowd of townspeople and taking a seat with them all.

" Well 'Allo Everyone." Blisdon said with a gravelly and hoarse tone to his voice as he pulls out a large pipe and begins to light it's mysterious contents. "I must say, The chill that hangs in the air makes great for drinkin' an' eatin' in one anothers company."

morzoth snaped out of his deep thought at the sound of food realizes that he hasnt eaten in several days drops the book be side him and heads for the kitchen.

"Blisdon," Katri says quietly, acknowledging him with a slight nod. The Uordeq set her drink down and leaned back against the tavern wall and watched as morzoth headed toward the kitchen.

Morzoth walks back in with two turkey legs in one hand and a pitcher of ale in the other he sits down next to barbaal and akon. "jeeze i was hungry i havnt eaten in two days"

Akon smirks, picking up the discarded book and looking over it slightly. She chuckles, then hands it back, a long smirk resting over her lips, which is almost all that can be seen below the black folds. "The winter is setting in. Perfect time for forging...." She said, her tone drifting in just a way that perhaps hinted that the word 'forging' didn't just imply work of steel and hammer. "Reminds me of the nights of my homeland. Brittlely cold. Damp. I do miss the caves at times. I found them peaceful." She then lifts another sip of wine to her lips, nursing it with no intent on rushing.

after morzoth is done eating he looks to akon. "know of any bing game around here apparently i have to sacrifice an animal in hunt and use its blood to cool my steel when im odne with that a peice of the animal should go into making the hilt."

Licks her lips, a wry slim smirk leaking its way across her grin. "Sure. There's one right over there." She sneers in a dark humored tone, gesturing toward's Blisdon's general direction, before tasting dryly of her wine again, lips still curled in her own bemusement.

Morzoth luagh can be herd from the monistary "i dont thing dwarf hide would be a good use for any hilt not to mention the blood would probably explode when i tried to cool the metal."

Katri looked mildly curious at the exchange. She muttered, "It would seem as though I missed something in my absence from town..."

The girl sat up from her postion leaned against the wall and rested her elbows on the table and her chin on interlocked fingers. She was quiet for a moment and then asked, "Why the talk of sacrificing dwarves and exploding blood? What happened while I was away?"

After a time, it seemed to Katri no one was particularly intent on answering her and the young Uordeq rose to her feet. She nodded to the group, bidding them farewell in her thick accent, "I will be taking my leave of you now. I have some... Things to attend to. See you all later."
Turning, she drew up her hood and mask and wrapped her self more tightly in her cloak. With a final glance around the tavern, she headed out into the cold and down the road.
