For awhile now, we've been remiss in posting official guidelines for things like what's appropriate to post in the forums, what character names are okay, and the like. As of now, users on the site and players at the game will be subject to the new document.
Most of these, like the fact that new players cannot post in play until they've attended an event, have been "unspoken" rules until now. Others, like the ban on honorific titles, are new. Still others, like keeping it clean or being respectful of each other out of play, are common sense. It behooves all of you to take a quick look at them so that you know them for future reference. I'll be posting a link to them in the appropriate places, like the forum post and character creation forms, so that there's no confusion.
Note that these are just the content issues we could come up with right now. If you have any others you think should be added to the list, please let us know. If and when the guidelines are updated, we'll post an addendum in the forums to keep everyone apprised. If the rules affect one of your posts, your user name, or your character name, you'll be notified individually of the change.
