Cookies for All

A sweet, delicious smell wafted around the tavern and a little ways out the door. Someone had recently made a venture in baking and left at least part of the result on a table in the middle of the tavern. A plate of about a dozen sugar cookies and a dozen chocolate ones sat in the open. Had anyone been passing through or seated there about fifteen minutes prior, they would have seen the dark cloaked form of Katri leave the plate before exiting the tavern with another holding an identical load. With the plate in the tavern, for those who did not see and those curious, she left a note. Any one who knew her, particularly her brother, Akon or Astrum, may have recognised her almost colligraphic cursive in the dark red ink on the parchment that read:

Please enjoy these cookies as my temporary farewell and a thanks to Jastrey's citzens for being so kind in my time here thus far. I would stay and offer them myself, but the other half of my work is off to the celebrations in the Crimson Quarter. So again, feel free to take one from here or enjoy it in company at the Angori's celebration.

Glimmer is passing through the tavern in search of Taklinn when she smells cookies and becomes sidetracked.  She follows the smell into the kitchen, flitting quickly.  Upon reading the not from Katri, Glimmer removes a crayon from her pouch and writes the following.

Bye Bye Katri.  Thank you for the cookies.

Glimmer looks around the kitchen and takes one of each cookie.  She then starts away, only to turn back with pink cheeks and a forlorn look and dump all but one of each cookie into her pouch.  Anyone listening can overhear "Cookie, why you torment me so.  We were best friends once.  Now I gonna eat you."

Katri stopped by the Tavern on her way out to see if any had taken her up on her offered cookies. She noticed the plate was nearly empty, only one cookie of each left. She noticed the crayon addition to her note and chuckled, shaking her head. The fae really did have a thing for cookies. She left everything as it was, having told Ohren he could help himself to some what was left in the tavern.  The black clad girl turned and quietly left the tavern disappearing down the road in the direction of out of town.
