The Captain awoke from his fairy dust induced hallucinaginic haze and looks around giving thought to the recent goings on and what he could remember of the previous days. He recalled hearing various rumors of a werewolf being sighted lakeside. He even thought he recalled seeing a doglike beast just before he passed out in this.....tree.... "Was I treed by a wolfman?".... The White-Haired Fae thought aloud. After looking about this seemed the only logical conclusion as he was at the lakeside at the top of a tree. I think some investigation might be in order...
"CORSAIRS!!" The Captain called at the top of his lungs knowing that at least a small group of the crew would come to help deal with this werewolf problem.
Zwey had noticed the fairy in the trees while out gathering, but had thought nothing of it, and had gone on his merry way. A loud thump brough Zwey plowing through the bushes and undergrowth, fearing that the tripping fairy had fallen. He bursts forth from a bush, a healing spell on the tip of his tongue, "Thank the Unknown Immortal!", only to find a bloke with a hammer attempting to fell the tree that the fairy was in.
The Captain stares petrified as he sees Bart running towards him the young dwarf dragging a menacing hammer, RageBreaker Murphy Belle had yet to tell him about the power he holds, The potential locked inside that massive mallet. But The Fae cringed knowing what was going to happen next as the hammer slammed into the tree's base.
"Aw, Sh*t" The tremors made at the base of the hammer were amplified tenfold as the traversed the distance that was the body of the tree.
The top of the tree began to swing back and forth as the white haired fae held on for dear life until the branch Snapped! and flung him with it away from the lake and in the direction of the tavern at unrealistic speeds.
As Syra runs towards the call for the Corsairs she stops dead in her tracks and notices the Captain flying through the air. With the dumb founded look of confusion she isn't sure if she should look for the Captain or go find out how he ended up soaring through the sky.
Silver dashed through the forest towards the origin of the call. She could hear a comotion up ahead and then a loud cracking sound, followed by the Captain going flying overhead. She stopped to listen and was rewarded with the sound of wing beats traveling back to the source of the call. She quickly resumed her course and came to see the Captain arriving in front of Bart and Zwey, spouting something about a ...mascot?
She slowed her pace and approached at a walk. "Another spur of the moment misadventure?" A wry grin crossed her face. "I suppose being fairy dusted couldn't change the Captain at his core. I'll tag along, never hurts to have a little support."
Silver smiled at the banter of the dwarf and the fairy as she closed the distance between them. "You need a fix now, don't you?" *heal 4* Silver touched the Captain's wings as he toyed with them, restoring them to some semblance of grace. "I'm up for it if you are. Sounds like it might turn out to be a little fun too."
The Captain whipped around and drew his sidearm pointing it directly at the newcomer. "By the immortals!" He said with a big gun. "I suppose even when you know an elf is coming should they lurk inthe wods you never know behind which tree they rest." The white haired fae laughed heartily at this joke.
"You dear captain, could not simply understand the complexity of the Werebeast. I myself, used to track werebeasts for a living. And even now I do not understand these creatures. And scaring them does not work, they survive on instinct.' Leofrick is walking back and forth on a large brach above the group. "And how do you know if its a werewolf and not some large canine?"
The Captain flew to perch on a branch just above Leofrick's head and looked down at him from between his knees. "We don't Leo, But we won't unless we find the beast now will we?" The Captian said as if prepared to answer such a question. "I figure best case scenario we rid the town of some problem it has. Worst case scenario this problem rids the town of us. Either way doesn't town kinda win?" The White Haired Fae smiled at his twist of phrase.
Silver smiles and listens to the friendly banter of her fellow Corsairs. "The Captain makes a fair point. Perhaps one of us should stay by the lake for a few days to see if we can confirm this roumor? But we can always wait for our reinforcements to arrive." She grinned and looked about with a twinkle in her eye. "I've never known a Corsair to turn down a chance for a strong drink. Perhaps just straight to the tavern then."
Bart sprints to the lakeside tree dragging a hammer behind him as he dashes to the captains call. "I'll get ya down captaiiin!"
Bart grips the hammer and lurches back to slam into the tree, before smashing his great hammer into the great tree, causing tremors and even cracks to appear in the tree.
