Dusk was beginning to settle over the town, In the far away distance the weary shaman could just barely hear the faintest sounds of the busy town from the small clearing that he had found somewhere deep in the ancient woods. Streaks of orange from the fading daylight blazed through the treeline and illuminated the Dwarfs features along with that of a strange, large and flat stone that the Shaman was kneeled before much like like a natural, stone altar that the unpredictable hands of fate had left behind in the timeless forest to be lost and forgotten.
But forgotten this place of solitude and natural serenity was no more as the dwarf pulled from his pouch and places upon an altar a pouch full of dried leaves and mushroom caps that the dwarf had carefully selected for their potent effects to the mind and body. Blisdon Let out a soft sigh as he relaxed his body, easing himself into a more relaxed state for the communion to come as he extracted a much more well-kept pouch with a glistening silver sheen from somewhere on his person and pulls out from the pouch The rock known as Stoney before placing it at the top of the large flat rock, respectfully laying the silver pouch under it to keep the ageless stone from suffering a single scratch.
In stark contrast to his reverence for his ageless teacher, The shaman carelessly throws a heaping handful of the potent plant matter into a pestle. Grinding it all up into a fine, mushy powder before mixing it unto an empty mug before quickly filling what emptiness remained with what untainted water he still had in his possession. After quickly stirring the mixture until the powdered plant matter had dissolved into the liquid the dwarf consumed the bitter and foul mixture down to the last drop, even taking the often unseen extra step of wiping what few droplets ran down onto his untamed beard and sucking the precious drops off of his hand.
Before the onset of the effects, Blisdon cleared his throat and spoke aloud.
"Agh...Spirits that be, Hear this dwarfs plea. The skies grow darker and the air grows thicker with hate with every day that passes. Seers speak of doom and destruction befalling this town and with the way the Ale has tasted so sour and spoiled of late I haven't a doubt in my mind that the taint comes from within."
The dwarf paused his speech as the sudden onset of the effects caused his vision to blur and twist as his stomache began to lurch. "What's...What is my purpose in this vile game of cloak and daggers?
As the dwarf vision faded, his true sight grew attuned and focused as his eyes began to roll and lull as his mind slipped away from the anchors of reality that so many in orn desperately cling to. [sense spirit]
