Disciplinary Policy

They say one bad apple spoils the bunch. In the same vein, one bad player can ruin everyone's good time. Our rules on behavior are pretty simple and, for the most part, common sense. In fact, the code of conduct is the only rules document that has not changed in the game's history.

After this last event, several individuals had to receive disciplinary action. We issued a few warnings, two one-game suspensions, and one lifetime ban. The issues at hand dealt with disrespect toward game administrators, interruption of the game, and violations of site policy.

I won't go into more detail than that. What I will say is that, with more people, the burden on game administration is heavier than it has ever been. As such, we really can't afford to keep the few bad players who insist on causing problems. If you violate the code of conduct, we will warn you, then suspend you, then ban you. Three strikes and you're out, with especially grievous offenses counting for multiple strikes.

It's unpleasant business, and we don't like to do it. So please, don't make us have to. If you've gotten a warning or a suspension, take the message to heart and return with a better attitude. If you haven't, continue showing us what exemplary players, and people, we know you to be.
