Katri wandered through Jastrey, away from the center of town and toward the way out of town. She seems to be a thousand miles away, though her ears and other senses are kept sharp by sheer instinct and training memory. Pausing just before leaving town, instead of leaving she diverts her path to the treeline and begins walking the outskirts of town. Her footfalls are silent, but she makes no effort to hide from anyone. Her dark, hooded and masked form is clear among the sparse trees. Her eyes, the only thing visible of her face, appeared to be slightly down cast. Two words escaped her lips at infrequent intervals, but they were always the same, "Why her?"
Images flashed trough her mind, memories of her home in the Shadelands. Some were broken, from when she was very young. While others, others were fresh and complete memories of everything she had gone through before she left her father's home. She knew she would need to see Akon soon and made a note of it as she continued to wander and ponder what she had gotten herself into, while enjoying the temporary almost-silence being imposed by the voice of her mother's ghost.
Katri's musings halted as she began to wonder why the female Empyrean was following her. She didn't allow her steps to falter or make any indication that she had seen Zanna for a few minutes until she stopped dead and turned simultaneously. Her voice was calm, almost light, "Is there anything you need?"
Zanna jumped lightly as Katri turned in her direction and asked her the question. She looked down and scuffled her feet in embarrasment. She then says, in a slightly panicked voice. "Uhm.. you looked kinda upset when you left town. I was just curious. I didn't mean to bother you."
Zanna smiles shyly at Katri for a moment, then shudders and tries to stifle a yawn. "I think I'm going to head back to my cabin." As Zanna walks off away from Katri she tosses a light goodnight over her shoulders then stops walking for a second and turns back around, "and watch out for those bandits," she adds. Zanna then leaves Katri to think to herself as she heads back to her cabin for a good nights sleep.
Zanna walks out from the Healers Den and see's Katri walking out through town. She's always been a tad suspicious, even skiddish around the uordeq but at the same time has a mutual respect of her. Zanna wonders, "What is she up to?"
As Katri leaves through the outskirts and around the gates of Jastrey Zanna quietly follows her. Making sure that ever step she takes is even, and matching Katri's, for fear of her noticing her follow. She then notices from her viewpoint that Katri is muttering words, though they are uncoherent so she can't here them.
