Fruits of the Pack

The Angori Zwey, Urodeq Shixarious, and a new Empyrian each carry the results of a long afternoon hunting. Zwey holds two wild boars tied together by the tusks, dragging them towards the great throne in the middle of the crimson quarter. Slinging the boars round, blood is slung from the heads of the animals, recently caved in via Zwey's great hammer. Taking the hatchet from his belt, he hacks off the hind legs of one of the boars, and proceeds to clap them together, leaving bloody lines on the ground. "Snowball, OH SNOWBALL!"

Brutus bears a few marks, and has his weapons sheathed, he wears a slight grin, unbroken by any physical exhaustion he might feel. Today was a fine day, and a new sight, who ever thought that one could be battle brothers with such? "This, Snowball? What, or who exactly is this?" He looks a bit curious, as if wondering what entirely he may have gotten himself into.  He drags a large caribou behind him, mostly field dressed and is mindful of keeping it properly off the ground.

Shixarious grinned with blood splattered all across her face and clothes, a gore from one of the tusks showing in the front of the shield. A few scrapes and bruises dotted her skin but none that she wasn't proud of, it had been a good hunt. "Are you sure I can't have one of the boars legs?" She says in a darkly persuasive tone before licking the blood from her fingers and sheathing her sword. At the thought of snowball, she growled softly and slunk back shadows coalescing around her and moving unnaturally, more...alive. "Twas a good hunt," she breathed, keeping her senses razor keen for the appearance of the cat. Especially after all the fun they had killing their quarry. "You are a great warrior Brutis it was good seeing you in action. I have no doubt you'll feel right at home in Jastrey as you hunt for a way back to your pack...er...Legion." Unlooping the string from around her shoulders, she drops two Bison legs and its feild stripped hind quarters, stealing a nibble from them before looking to Zwey and Brutis, blood on her lips. "There's my add to the pile since I couldn't carry a whole buffalo by myself."

Syra could hear the call for Snowball and she dropped down from the high tree she had been resting in and landed with grace behind the group,  "Your new." almost whispering she spoke with a dark tone to the Uordeq girl as she weaved around her examining.  The Captain leaned against a tree, her body language is full of sarcasm "What do you need with the cat? If I'm not mistaken you two aren't on good terms." She looked at Zwey and smiled a wicked grin.

As Syra touched the ground, a previously hidden figure comes into view. The now fully grown Avalancher dwarves the female elf, as he steps to her side and acknowledges the presents of the Angori and his hunting party with a hiss.

Zwey levels a haunch at the elf, "You would do well to leave me and mine be, unless you want to join the pile behind me." At the appearnce of the cat, Zwey takes a knee. "Snowball, I am here to apologize for my actions the other night. If you want me dead, so be it. But at least accept this offering. I tried to bring the boars back alive, but, well, I lost my temper."

The elf smiled as Zwey threatened her. Syra turn her head to see Snowball appear behind her, she gave the Avalancher a nod of acknowledgment  "I just happened to be around. The new ones? They are yours?" The girl raises an eye brow and taps her chin with her index finger.

"Everyone wifout 'orns needs to get out, RIGHT NOW!"

A loud voice boomed from one of the huts in the Crimson Quarter. Barbaal had stepped outside, Choppa in hand, and had a mean look on his face. He walks to Snowball and sees the pile of animals in the center of the Quarter. "Zwey, you should no betta than ta bring people 'ere if dey ain' Angori. Now get 'em out of our 'ome!"

"Oh? Who died and made you chief of Jastrey's Angori, Barbaal?" The soft voice of Katerina drifted from behind the group as she entered the Quarter. "You're entirely too loud, aside from that, since when are others not allowed in the Crimson Quarter?"

Drawing even with the main body of the group, she respectfully skirted the large cat. To Zwey, Syra, and the two unfamiliar faces she said in a far less acidic tone, "Have any of you seen the bear?"

Zwey cant help but notice Barbaal. "These two helped me in my task, and have proven themselves able fighters, that should at least grant them a pass for this very instance. Syra must have followed us in, she was certainly not invited." Zwey drops the haunches, and grabs his hammer, "However there Barbaal, would love nothing more than to escort these uninvited pests out of the Quarter."

Zwey looks over his shoulder to Wolf and Brutus, and speaks in a tone that has no room for argument. "Run, thank you for your help."

As Zwey threatened the Elf, the Avalancher closed the gap between the Angori & himself with a single bound. Saliva dripping from his maw down onto the face of Zwey the cat makes his disapproval known with a vicious roar. When Barbaal emerges from the hut Snowball snatches up the boar haunch and settles down next to the Throne.

:Rage: "AND WHAT MAKES YOU FINK YOU'RE WELCOME HERE UORDEQ?!" Barbaal shouted at the sight of the former princess. "YOU'RE PART OF DA REASON ME AND MY BROVA 'AD CHAINS AROUND OUR NECKS! YOU'RE LUCKY I WON'T GIVE YOU DA HONOR OF DYIN' ON DIS SOIL OR YOU WOULD ALREADY BE BLEEDIN' HOOT! NOW LEAVE!" Barbaal's fury permiates thourgh his eyes and his muscles twitch as his hands grip the hilt of his sword.

"I was welcomed in here by Nakigahara and later by Ohren Tamal. I will not leave until either of them revoke that right." The thick Uordeqi accent lowered in tone icily, but never grew louder. "I had not a damned thing between here and the pit to do with you being entangled in those chains. I was rather tied up myself if you didn't notice." The Uordeq held up her left arm, revealing a healing chain burn on her wrist.

"I offered to try and help you be rid of them, even in my forced silence, if you recall, as well." Violet eyes narrowed. More gently she repeated, "Has anyone seen Ohren?"

"YOUR DEATH WILL BE A QUICK ONE!" the Angori proclaimed. He takes a step towards Katri and promptly spits in her face. He unleashes a mighty roar, as if he were some kind of beast and stomps off towards the tavern to find something to drink.

Pulling a cloth from her bag, Katri quietly wiped her face with a shake of her head. "Oh the logic of an enraged Angori."

"Zwey... any particular reason Snowball looks as if he's ready to tear your head off?" Katri asked absently while digging out a small sewn-shut pouch from her pocket. Gently, she tossed it toward the avalancher. She chuckled lightly, "I told myself I'd settle my curiosity when next I saw the cat. It's catnip. Hopefully it will stand at least as an offering of no-harm-meant if not exactly peace. Had it not been for Miss Glimmer, I'm fairly certain he would have taken my head off when last I dealt with him and the Brotherhood- adolescent or not. I'd rather try and start off on the proper foot this go round."

After a moment she sighed and asked again, "Seriously, though, have you seen Ohren? I've been needing to speak with him."

The Cat ignores the satchel of weed and follows Barbaal through the woods, giving a passing hiss at Zwey as he passes.

Zwey looks confused and somewhat angry at Snowball. Zwey quickly addresses Katri, "No, I have not seen the Burr. Try to woods. And Snowball would love to have my head, for I had aided Jael, not knowing what he had done. Which may have involved me hitting this avalancher with my hammer."
Zwey walked over the resting Avalancher, with another haunch of boar in hand. "Now why in the Pit would you defend the traitorous Capitan." Zwey puts his face in his hand, thinking, "How can I communicate with you..."
Zwey turns around to face Katri, "If you find Ohren, bring him here. I need to speak with the cat."

"... You hit the cat...." Katri gave Zwey a flat look. She continued with a slight smile on her face, "Good people. You always are ready to do suicidal things for .... oh... what is that word again in the common tongue? Fiends? No... Friends. that's it."

Retrieving the ignored pouch, she shrugged, "That settles that curiosity I suppose. I'll be sure to let Ohren know, when I manage to find him."

Syra smiled at Snowball when he defended her. Syra looked to Barbaal "I mean no harm, I'm just looking for Cherigahara." the Elf then turned to Katri and answered her question about the bear "I haven't seen the bear for quite a while. You may have better luck with Glimmer, he does seem to like cookies as much as she does." The girl chuckled as Zwey spoke down on her once more and spoke with a low dark tone "I would be careful who you piss off. I have more allies than foes." Syra turns and looks to the rest of the group "If any one see's the five year old please send her my way, and tell her I have candy."

Shixarious swung her head left, right, and back again at all of the commotion going on, people appearing from the wood work. Shouting filled her ears and made her slink back pulling the hood of her robes over her head so that she could slink around to Syra. "Greetings, I am Shixarious Ulfer of Dimma Ulfer or Dark Wolves if you prefer. And just so that there is no misunderstanding, no I am not one of Zwey's. I am a good friend of his aiding in a mending of friendships between him and the Avalancher. The other newcomer is Brutis Val'borda of the...Legion, Legio Anguis Reptatis. And Secondly, Yes-" She paused as more shouting erupted from Zwey and Snowball stormed off.
"Yes I am new to this town, I am an Urodeq from the Starlands...a place where we live on the surface. Though I do not know your name and have merely seen you in passing through town." As Zwey turned to face Katri, Shix spoke. "Perhaps my horned friend it would be better if a non biased party went to see Snowball. I am familiar with the body language and while I know its not exact I know there are others to help should I need the aid."
With a quick turn to Syra she gave a curt bow. It was a pleasure to meet another of my kind and I am sure we will get much more acquainted but for the moment, I have a cat to trail." She grinned and with a very loud wolf's howl bounded off after the cat and stomping mad Angori. Perhaps she could cool the tension and get to the bottom of all this in fighting.

Syra looked to the Uordeq who she had earlier addressed and gave a smirk "Shixarious, I am Syra Bloodbrand, Captain of the Crimson Corsairs. Good to know such talent has not yet gone to waste. Unfortunately I do not believe that 'friendship' will be so easily mended. You see Zwey along with everyone was pretty much instructed not to touch the people who were killed by Snowball. Zwey even attacked Snowball himself, but that's a story for another day. If you ever need anything, come to the pirates den." Syra smiled maliciously then turned to leave.

Brutus stands carefully, watching this strange dichotomy as they interact. "This must be a rather piss poor town if no one has anything better to do than get in each other's way." He stares at the tiger, about to say something scathing, before noticing the gleam of intelligence in its eyes. "Strange bedfellows all, is this likely to happen any time we go hunting or indeed try to gather in a public place? It just seems like it would be more effective in the long run to simply burn this place down and rebuild elsewhere with a more structured thought and perhaps a wall and a guard force to keep the peace." He disdainfully leans against the wall, turning towards Zwey. "I'm going to assume that trouble loves to follow you around, as I'm new here and bright as a penny, so Its hard to hate me." He grins at his bit of snark and continues observing.

Zwey grins, "Brutus your wit and tongue will one day get you in a heap of trouble, and it does not serve to mention burning a people's home to the ground." Zwey looks to Shix, "Follow the captain if you must, but be wary."
"Enjoy your meal, Snowball" Zwey gathers his hammer, and walks out of the Quarter.

Leofrick stands at the edge of the Quarter, wary not to overstep his bounds. Watching he sees the group. "And this is why we have problems here. No one respects boundaries. And thus, we have conflicts such as this." Leofrick shakes his head, covering his head with his hood, turns and leaves the area hoping not to attract attention."

"You should be aware of what happens to those who judge foolishly too quickly." Katri smiled with acidic sweetness, violet eyes glittering unreadably. "It is not hard at all to hate one so new, White Hair. Let Barbaal or Morzoth... or Ohren particularly, who built this place hear you speak of burning it to the ground. I'd more than wager you'd see a fair share of disdain and then some."

The woman's words, as they had been for the majority of the conversation, moved fluidly, but were slow. It was as if the common tongue shared by most were somewhat unfamiliar to her lips, though clearly known. The thick Uordeqi accent continued to drift his way after a moment's pause, "There is no guard, no law, no justice within the walls of Jastrey. I have seen it, myself, try to change and I have seen the authority figures unceremoniously brought down. If you take issue with such, I recommend you leave."

Brutus looks to the woman, zeroing in on her. "Your words do not send fear through me,  I have walked in places that were more lawless, worse. My legion was sent there to establish such things. My legion accomplished that. Let it be known, I am Coriyani, I am more than a race, I am a Centurion, where I walk, I will ensure the enforcement of the law, of my people, and legion." He stands straight, almost daring the woman to speak again. "I understand your words are forged from my sarcasm, but know this, Legio Anguis Reptatus walks here through me, I am a new hurricane far from home. I will take the slings of hatred, and walk through them, I care not for the emotions of those around me. but to put you at appeasement, I will not burn down this place, it deserves some raising of a different kind."

He stops at this point, and a wry grin forms on his face "Although at least one of you released my simple joke, and not any speaking of harshness. I find it hilarious, that one who has people known for subtlety did not see the color of humor in my voice." He shakes his head looking around carefully. "Perhaps in this I am unwanted, but I will not falter.but I take my leave as well." He walks out of the quarter, ignoring those around him as he walks.
