Gambling is Live

Since I know you guys have a ton of gold burning a hole in your pocket (sarcasm intended), I've designed a new treasure function that allows you to wager it on games of chance.  To do so, go to your character's inventory and click the Gamble link next to your gold total.

You should immediately be able to tell from the form that this is more of an abstraction than a fully-developed online gambling system.  You enter the amount of gold you'd like to wager along with a risk level.  The higher the risk at which you place your bet, the less likely you are to win but the higher the payout if you do.

Before anyone asks, yes, the odds are in the house's favor, but it's still well within the realm of possibility to come out ahead when gambling.  As in real life, it can be thrilling to win it big, but it's not a sound financial strategy, so use it at your own discretion.

Why did I program this?  I have more pressing development priorities, after all, don't I?  Certainly.  Let's just call it one of those "wild hair" moments and leave it at that.  It was quick, easy, and fun, and I randomly felt like doing it.  Hope ya'll like it.

.... and the Jester thanks you for it.  Expect to see other possible games of chance in the near future in the event that "The Jester" decides that its time to take another stroll through Jastrey.

well that sucks i won 10 gold then i lost 15 but it was fun

Grall Bonekeeper will welcome the Jester back.  For one, he's still mad about having acid splashed in his face.  Also, he might have a bit of a gambling problem.  And as we all know, it doesn't take much to infuriate an Angori Savage.  Look out Jastrey!  XD

Oh, but now Grall is a sweet boy that knows the pain of loss... its a terrible thing when the odds are rigged in favor of the house.  Really, its more of a shame that he lost when 75% of the draws in the bag were positive items :P

There's a thing about gambling... someone's gotta lose.

Well, that isn't quite the fault of Grall Bonekeeper, the Angori Savage, that's more the fault of Tim Wellman, the Human LARPer.  :P  I have absolutely horrible luck.  "Luck of the Irish" be damned, I absolutely suck at games of chance.
