Game Guide is Live

If you've been perusing the rulebook recently, you may have noticed some handy new navigation that ties it all together. That's because the entire rulebook has been reorganized into the

using Drupal's built-in Book functionality (which would have been handy for me to stumble upon a year ago, but hey, who knew). This adds some nice administrative features for me and Nick, but, more importantly, it adds a new

link that you can use to display the Game Guide in its entirety for easy printing. If you're looking for it in the future, the link is at the bottom of every page in the guide.

I plan on adding some bells and whistles over the next few weeks, including a Reference section to include information about classes, skills, and actions. There are also some old sections that need touch-up and some orphaned sections that were never properly included in the navigation. As with the game system as a whole, Game Guide revisions should be considered an ongoing process. As such, any Game Guide you print out should only be considered completely valid as of the date you print it, and a handy-but-not-necessarily-accurate reference after that.

I hope you guys like it. Let me know if you have any questions.

So, apparently I'm an author and didn't realize it...
I added the action component, race, class, and skill references into the new Reference section at the end of the Game Guide and the printed size shot up from 31 pages to 160.  Apparently the class action lists constitute the bulk of that, but even after I shrink those to a smaller format, I still expect the whole thing to top out around 90 pages.  I guess that's what happens when you write about a game system for three years without ever checking how much you've written.
Needless to say, if you're thinking about printing it right now, you'll save yourself a lot of paper if you wait until I've trimmed it a bit. ;)
