A splash of pink and purple alight the newly dawned day as Althena made her way to the western boundary of Jastrey. Standing for a moment, she studies the pure white stone shrine that she had built and dedicated to Avaren. With a sigh, she begins her morning chores, clearing away any debris that happened onto the shrine. She then casts purity upon the stone before imbuing it with prime. These are duties she is familar and at home with, having spent the entirey of her life, before meeting Marloff, tending various, few and far spread shrines of her homeland. Her time in Jastrey, while pleasant and most welcoming, had been alien to her...until now. Now, Jastrey felt like home.
Satisfied, she steps back, before kneeling in prayer and meditation.
Having witnessed the miracle of the ascension of Avaren, Kaelan comes to the shrine to pledge himself to the new godess. Making sure not to disturb the others their he slowly and with reverence that is not expected of a mage he lays down his staff and throws back his hood.
He whispers so only he and the godess may hear, "Avaren. I have fought with you on the battlefield as the mortal Haven Melrose and witnessed your ascension. I hearby pledge myself to you." <Kaelan now takes 1 lvl of Theurge>
"I will continue my studies of the arcane to combat evil and your enemies. I will then study the divine to protect and heal other. I so pledge my long life.
Kaelan stands, reclaims his staff and begins to leave, his pledge complete.
Althena looks up from her medtation as Nava settles beside her, offering a wide smile to the cheerful fey as she climbs to her feet. "Thank you, Nava," she says as she accepts the proffered candy from her. "I was kneeling to offer my devotion and prayers to Avaren, my Patron Immortal," the Ixifar explains as she dusts off her knees, glancing over at her fellow docent who was currently devoting himself to Avaren. Althena smiles as she turns back to Nava.
"Nightfall did not catch me unawares," she explains. "I arrived just at dawn to perform my absolutions to Avaren, and duties to the shrine." She tilts her head slightly as she notices Kaelan preparing to leave. "This shrine was built in reverance to Avaren, the ground purified and prayers and devotions offered. Altready there are preparations for a warren to be built upon this patch of earth." She smiles at the thought. "A hospital shall also be built within the church's walls. So, not only can the soul receive what healing it needs, but the body as well."
Althena is obviously happy about this development and eager to share with the spirited fey-child she has grown quite fond of.
Nava spared a glance at the other person but soon refocused on Althena as she explains to Nava what she doing here at such an early hour and her plans for the future. Nava turns her head to look at what she mistook for a natural occurance of rock, soon recognising it for a man, or in this case ixifar, made structure. "You made this? It's very pretty! I like the color!"Her wings flutter a little in excitement. Nava smiles and says "Wow a hospital! Making people feel better is the best thing huh? I like that there'll be a special place for it and that it'll be in this beautiful place and you're so thoughtful Althena."
Althena blushes slightly at the fey's praise, shaking herhead. "It has been my duty since I was a girl," she says with a smile, turning her eyes back to the pure white of the shrine. "And now I feel I have true purpose." Her smile turns into a grin as she turns back to the Fey. "I do not know to whom you offer your devotions, or even if you do. However, you are a gifted healer. When the warren and hospital are complete, I would be honored if you would offer up some of your skills to those in need."
Nava's face lights up in utter delight at the praise and request. "Oh can I Althena?! I'd love to help out! I don't have anyone that I follow. My mommy said that I should wait to chose such things until I want to be a grown up." She smiles and digs out another couple pieces of candy, taking one for herself and putting the rest on the shrine. "Sometimes people forget that I can help them since I'm just a little fairy but I like to help." She turns back to Althena and smiles. "Thank you for remembering."
"Your mommy sounds very wise," Althena said as she watches the fey make her offering to Avaren. "And I think that you would be a wonderful help. Not only in the healing aspect, but in how cheerful you are." She looks directly at the fey. "You are a very happy person, Nava. And those who are ill or hurt usually need that cheerfulness about them. It aids in the healing process."
Nava grins and touches Althena's shoulder for a few seconds in thanks. "Aw thanks! That makes me feel happy Althena! I have to go find Ling and tell him all about the hospital okay?" She takes a couple steps away before looking back and pausing a few seconds, waiting for Althena's assent.
The Ixifar watches as the fey bounds away before turning back to the shrine. She gazes at it for several moments before her eyes turn to follow along the imaginary lines where the warren and hospital will set. It will take some time for the structure to be built, although the design was kept simple and functional. Her gaze settles once more upon the purified stone that is the Immortal's shrine. She hopes that Avaren will be pleased with the results.

~the night before~
Nava had been wandering the forest picking up the shiny bits of stone she sometimes finds laying about the forest when she realized that sunset had come and gone without her noticing again. She looks about for a big comfy tree to sleep in as she's wont to do when she's caught out at night foraging alone.
She soon spots one on the edge of a clearing with what, in the dim light of the moon, looks to be a pretty white boulder. Nava smiles and and picks up a few rocks and pinecones for defense and puts them in her bag before half flying half climbing into the tree, being mindful of her precious egg. As she settles in for the night, warming the egg on her belly Nava reaches in her bag and takes out a piece of candy, brushes the dirt away, and pops it in her mouth before drifting off to sleep, cradled safely in the tree.
~The morning~
The pretty purple and pink light filters in through the thinning leaves of the tree Nava had chosen to be her bed for the night. This added with the birds chirping, animals rustling and Althena's cleaning wakes the little fairy. With a yawn and a smack of her lips Nava first checks her egg and then eats a candy before somewhat ungracefully descending from her spot in the tree's branches. Her freckled face breaks out into a smile when she spots one of her favorite people she has met since coming to this strange new world. "Althena!" her cheerful and somewhat squeaky voice breaks through the otherwise quiet morning "What are you doing here?! Did you get snuck up by nighttime too?! I never see it coming! One minute the world is pretty and sunny and golden and the next it's so dark I almost trip!" As Nava relays her story she flutters over to Althena, hugging her egg happily. "How come you're kneeling in front of the white boulder Althena? Are you tired?" She brightens with an idea and reaches into her bag with one hand dislodging a few pinecones and pulling out a wrapped candy. "Are you hungry? Do you want some candy?!" with a puff of her chest and somewhat lowered voice, she seems to imitate someone as she says "One should always eat a healthy breakfast of sweets!" before returning to her normal voice and body language "At least that's what my daddy used to say." Having landed beside Althena at the end of her sentence she reaches out with the candy in her hand offering it to the redheaded ixifar, and finally giving Althena the chance to reply to the chipper child.
