The mod I ran a few events ago, "The Abandoned Mines of Jastrey" ended with the players finding a wooden rack with this enscription on it:
"Here stands the hammer of Espidrel, Mason of the Mountains, who wrought the heart of a mountain for its head, adamantium ore for its handle, and wrought them together in the belly of a volcano" and it was heavily implied that the hammer (which was missing from the rack) was stolen by Uordeq.
I would 100% write another part to this, further searching for the hammer but I don't remember which player ended up taking it. If someone brings it to the mage's tower or asks a historian or something, I can use that as a jumping point. Until it's out for inspection, I can't do much with it and neither can whoever has it, as you already tried finding the hammer in play with no success.
Just tossing it out there.

I ended up with the rack by the end of the mod, and am planning on doing something with it pretty soon. I'll see if I can rustle up the time to post about it tonight :)
