Avubhora follows the rest of the group inside. He looks a bit stricken at first, and glances around noticeably. After taking a few short scans of the room, he rubs at his small horns and begins speaking. "This still doesn't look at all like the tavern. Have I woken up somewhere other than Jastrey? Is this some game you people are playing? Arimir shall not be pleased at all. I just want food and answers. Why is that so much to ask?" Avubhora sits down at one of the nearby tables and begins to sulk.
Avubhora looks bewildered at the goblin and says "You filthy mongrel of a swamp rat. I have but one King and he is Arimir and he will smite you with his mighty hammer. Foul creature." Avubhora throws the bottle to the floor, but consumes the plate of half eaten food hungrily. 'Since when has your kind been allowed in this town? I thought you'd all been slaughtered."
A tap... tap....tap....could be heard approaching the door before it is slowly creaked open. Akon's form, walking staff clutched between both palms, moved its way into the doorway, and entered the tavern. She paused a moment, taking in the gathering of Angori in the tavern's hall through her white glazed eyes, her visage hard set, lips dry and chapped. The black-clad uordeq didn't say a word as she made her way over to the bar slowly, and muttered a few words to the bar tender, and passed a few copper at him under slender pale fingers.
Zwey follows the group into the tavern, using his hammer's haft as a walking stick. He seats himself at the table where the young angori, "Hey now, show respect. Each race has a king, and this individual is one of the goblin kings," Zwey winks at the child, hinting that there is a game afoot, one to fool the goblin, "One should treat others with respect. Well, until they show weakness. Then they are dead to you." Zwey looks the child dead in the eyes when he says this. " Where have you come from? This tavern has been burned to the ground several times in the past few mest."
"YOU INSERECTIOUS LITTLE!!!" the goblin began to screech at the top of his lungs. He snatched the plate from the child and put it on a table beside him. "Nasher doesn't feed RUDE LITTLE INGRATES!! Not even the Horny ones!!" Nasher contiued to screech. The goblin watched as the large angori came over and scolded the child. "YEAH!! You tell em Horney One!" Nasher said as he began to eat the rest of the plate angrily.
Barbaal hears the screeching of the Goblin as he enters the tavern. The confusion of the ruckus leaves him quickly after remebering that Nasher is a goblin, after all. It soon returns, though, when he sees the young Angori boy sitting at one of the tables. He approaches the boy and looks to Zwey by his side. "oos dis little one," he asks his companion. "Neva seen ya before boy. What's ya name and what's ya drink?" Barbaal then motions to the bartender for two mugs of ale.
Avuhora addresses only the last Angori that speaks to him. "My name is Avubhora. I went to bed last night, in Jastrey none the less, and woke up here. I don't know this place or any of it's people, and this is not the Jastreyan tavern. I keep telling them all I am from Jastrey. I was born there. I woke up this morning and everything was different. This tavern has never burned to the ground, lest it be because of Scorch himself."
Barbaal stops to think in his confusion. "Dis is Jastrey. Always 'as been far as I know. And yes, dis tavern 'as been burned down a few times. Me brotha did it was." He looks around to see if his drinks have arrived yet and frowns when he does not discover them. "So, if yer from 'ere why don't you know no one?" Barbaal asks the child.
From her new favored place in the rafters, Starling leaned against a support brace and watched as townsfolk gathered in the Shadey Corners. Several Angori, one of whom was a child she had not yet met, the green bit of filth that called himself a king, and the darkly clad, cane carrying form of Akon Nivarian were among them, all entering at relatively the same time. She raised an eyebrow. Hexadus' chains... It was like the opener to a cheesy joke. She sat quietly, observing, to see if it would turn out as amusing as one.
Avubhora stands at the site of the Uordeq glancing his direction after noticing the second Uordeq enter the tavern. "This is no Jastrey that I know off. We are a superior people. No room for dishonest dark-eyed folk and warted green flesh mongrels. We are superior. Arimir deemed it so. Now I ask again. Where am I and who are all of you?"
Ohren plops down next to Avubhora and orders them both a hearty meat filled breakfast. Eggs with bacon and bacon and bacon with sausage wrapped in bacon and steak. He pats the young angori on the shoulder. "Doesnt needing to be worried sound here, we is gonna figger out what is problem ok?" He smiles and nods, looking to Barbaal. "Right Baba? By de way Abby, dis is my friend Baba."
"You are in Jastrey." Starling remarked simply from her place over head, eyes narrowing on the 'burr' as he retrieved his breakfast. She was quite happy to be in the rafters, out of the reach of those grubby, Uordeq grabbing paws the angori usually had. She paused a moment and thought before adding, "You know... I think Abby is usually used for a girl's name."
The child looks aruond in shock, and then looks at the ANgori that finally spoke. He pulls a piece of parchment and a quill from his bag and draws the Phearvorne Family Crest on it and signing it as Avubhora Phearvorne, passing it to Desiderio. As his hands releases the paper, he dissapears completely.
Desiderio's ears ring out to that name, as ge takes the piece of paper. Then looks back to the child, and no one is there. His knees go week, and his eyes go wide, unblinking.
"Wait-- What th--?!" Puzzled and confused, heart racing hard, he falls back on the floor and scoots back against a wall shaking his head. He keeps looking around to find the figure again but the 'child' is gone.
Akon's attention turned a bit more towards Desiderio, watching the whole thing take place with her dulled and expressionless visage. The hints of amusement which used to linger across her features of late were utterly gone, and the glazed white colder eyes looked on towards the group. She again, said nothing, merely watching, emotionless eyes settling upon Des only hinting at their usual contemplative nature.
Starling watched patiently as the events unfolded. Interesting. Avubhora Phearvorne vanished once the paper left his hands for Desiderio's much to the Uordeq's surprise. Des acted as if he had seen a ghost and Star watched as he fell back on his ass and scooted away, looking confused. She could only watch for so long before, with a sigh, she swung down from the rafters. Landing with a soft thmp she walked over and stood in front of him, hands on hips. "Des. He's gone. Come on. Off your arse. Let's go."
She offered him a hand up a moment later, her face neither smiling nor cold.
Des looks ahead, as if through everyone in that general direction as if his mind is still trying to process the information that is coming at him. He looks to Akon, then to Ohren and Nasher, then to Starling who suddenly appeared. He hesitates for a second, then grabs at her extended arm. He misses the first try as his depth perception was altered from being dizzy, then he grips her arm to get up.
He turns to Akon, and gingerly walks to her, with his face at the side of hers and whispers so that only she could hear. Then he turns, and shoots a look, before making a B-line for the exit while stowing away the parchment.
Barbaal watches Des leave the Shady Corners as he wears a frown. He looks to all of the surrounding townsfolk who witnessed the boy disappear. The Angori shrugs and looks at the plates of food on the table. "You gonna eat dat?" He then helps himself to the plate without an answer.
Starling didn't say anything else as she helped up the disoriented Angori. Her eyes flitted around the room once more as he moved over to the warlock then left. The Noxian woman chuckled at Barbaal's clear lack of concern about the vanishing Phearvorne child, before vanishing as well.
Nasher saunters into the tavern. He grabs a bottle off of some poor saps table who wasn't paying attention and conitues walking to his usual table. He sees the young angori from before and changes his direction. "Yous the Little Horney Kid from before! Where your twin go?" Nasher asked looking around. He sees the kid has nothing infront of him and guesses the kids hungry. "Here, have this," Nasher said as he thrust the bottle of wine into the kid's hands. He then went over to another table somebody had just left and grabbed the half eaten plate from the table, putting that in front of the kid too. "There you's goes Horney Kid! A gift from your king!" Nasher proclaimed.
