Keeping the Storm

Ozan walks into the Warrior's Hall, his red hood drawn over his features, only his long orange beak visible. He looks around, finding the training dummies, he walks over and drags six of them into a circle surrounding him. He then pulls his bastard sword from its scabbard and seats himself on the floor in a cross legged fashion. The Ixifar lays the sword across is knees, holding the grip with his right hand, and laying his left palm on the flat of the blade. Straitening his back and taking a deep breath, he begins to mumble quietly to himself, seeming to meditate. After afew moments, he nicks the thumb on his left hand on the edge of the sword. Pressing the bleeding digit on flat of the blade near the cross guard, runes set into the steel begin to fill with the Ixifar's blood. Ozan mutters quietly as this occurs.

A red cloaked figure walks past the doors of the warriors hall, her hood was pulled over her head and her face was hard to notice. Hearing the murmuring from inside she becomes curious. She stops and places her ear against the door trying to hear the words coming from inside, she then slowly pushes the door open and steps in. Taking a look around she notices the Ixifar she had met not to long ago in a circle of practice dummies. She studied him for a moment, as the blood from his thumb formed into ruins a smile crossed the Captains face. "Zwey wouldn't have approved of such magic" she spoke with a dark low tone as she stepped closer to the Ixifar.

Ozan's beak snaps up, looking at the Captain. "Not zo zick I zee. Did vou zeek out a healer for zat eye? And vhat magic?" Ozan stands, careful to keep his blade level, all of the runes have since filled with his blood. "Zhis is old Gurkha tradition, to whet vour veapon vith vour blood, zo it haz a tazte, and zo it will zeek more in combat. And hopefully, not vour own." Ozan chuckles at his own joke, and begins to stare down the first dummy in front of him.

"I wasn't sick, and I don't need a healer." Syra watches Ozan carefully as he stands. She removes the hood from her head to reveal her bright purple hair. She raised a brow and tilted her head "Old tradition? Zwey would have my head if he saw a blade cross my palm. He was very against blood and dark arts." The Captain crossed her arms trying to hide her scared palm and gave a malice grin.

Ozan's beak swings side to side, "No magic here. Zvey did this as vell, perhaps more privatly. He did hate ze dark magics, however. Gurkhas az a vhole hate practices that bind people. Zvey zaw those used them az vound, and vould try to free them." Ozan chuckles, "I always told him, vou could lead vampires to flesh, vut vou could not make zem feed. Anyvay, I zee the arts az another powva, one zome uze to break zier chains, to find zier own freedom."
Ozan finishes his thought with a rapid and violent thrust forward, slamming the tip of his sword into the dummy before him. "Nvul tash dzwol zhazotkun' queitly escapse his lips, before he reverses his momentum, swinging his weapon low, leaving a thin line of blood on the floor before burying the tip of his sword in the target oppisite the first. "Zhazothunto chatuzatul nu midwvan", leaves his beak as he tugs the weapon free, and levels it across his chest, staring at the Captain again.

The doors to the Warrior's Hall open, and in comes the town's residential snow elf. The elven monk can be seen walking inside, with his hands in his sleeves, spotting Syra and an Ixifar, who doesn't look familiar.

"Uhm... Pardon me." He said. "A new face? Greetings!" Seren approached the Ixifar. He stood next to Syra before speaking to the Ixifar. His attention turned to her. "Hello, Syra. How are you?"

Syra watched Ozan carefully taking in every word he spoke. "Zwey shed his own blood.. Hard to imagine." When Ozan spoke in a language that seemed unfamiliar to her she tilted her head in confusion. "What is it that you speak?" Hearing the main door open the Captain looked over her shoulder and noticed it was just Seren. "I have been better" she gave a slight nod, her voice was low and her eyes were dark.

"Her eye, it trouble her zo. I'm telling vou, get vahn of ze zhamans to take care of zat." Ozan looks over Syra at the snow elf walking in. Ozan holds his blood covered palm up, "Hold zhere, it would be a zhame for zuch a friendly veing to ve harmed."

Ozan finishes his sentance by dropping the tip of his sword toward the floor, and letting the blood run down the blade. When the first drop falls, he strikes a dummy to the left of his first target, and then does a similar strikes to the one to the right of the first, leaving two archs of blood that cross the first line on the ground. "Tyûkjontû châtzatul nu midvwan.Midvwanjontû châtzatul nu azha'' Taking a step back, he lets loose a blood curdling roar, one not fitting of an Ixifar, one that an Angori could be proud of. Two circular windmill strikes carve deep grooves into the last two dummies, the swings leaving two short swatches of blood below the archs.''Azhajontû kotzwinot itzu nuyak.Wonokzh Qyâzik nun. ''
His blade now covered in dry blood, he gets out a rag, and procceeds to clean the blade. "Now vou can come, I have meditated for ze day."

Seren gave Syra a friendly smile, then turned to the Ixifar. Seren stood and watched him swing his sword about, hitting the dummies countless times, and waits for him to finish. After the ixifar says its okay for him to come closer, Seren pauses for a moment, then speaks.

"You obviously know how to handle a sword very well. That's a...different way of meditating, so to speak, but, I cannot judge another individual's culture. It is very interesting..."

Seren thought to himself for a few seconds, then spoke again. "Care to explain it? I'm very curious, if you don't mind. I'm Seren, by the way."

He finished talking as he offered a friendly smile to the Ixifar.

Syra snarled at Ozan as he spoke once more of her eye "My eye is fine, I do not need a Shaman" she snapped at him with a dark tone. She looked to Seren as he spoke then back to the Ixifar. "Interesting, yes. Most like to sit quietly and meditate, you seem to enjoy the power of a sword" Syra smiled a wicked grin. She then turned her attention to the blood that had been thrown all over the Warriors Hall, her eyes grew darker at the sight of all the blood.

Ozan meets Seren's smile. "I am Ozan Zanlisi, of ze Gurkhas." Ozan wipes the blood fromt the edges, but leaving the runes blood filled, before sheathing the weapon.

Ozan appears thoughtful, "Think....of my meditation, az the ztorm is. The great ztorms, ze vig coastal vones. At zeir center, iz a an eye. This eye, it iz calm. Peaceful, even. But the winds that surround it, from what it appears, is nothing destruction and fury. I need my vinds, my fury, to remain calm at my center. It keepz me free."

The door swung open showing no one behind, then materializing inside in a bright blue light stands Leofrick. His robes and armor stained with blood, standing inches in front of Seren. "Hey Seren."

Syra was almost tranced by the blood not paying much attention to what had been said, as the doors to Hall swung open she snapped her attention to the entrance and stared at Leofrick almost studding him. She noticed the blood and tilted her head and smiled. "Such a nice look" a small giggle escaped her mouth, anyone could tell she meant no harm but simply enjoyed the sight of blood.

Seren smiled at Ozan and started to speak, but his attention was turned to Leofrick as he swung the doors open. Seren turned around and waved to his friend. "Hey Leo!" He smiled and turned back to Ozan.

"That's very interesting, I must say. I enjoy learning about new cultures. Not what I'm used to doing as far as meditation goes, but it does look like a great stress reliever."

Seren's ears perked up as Syra spoke. He looked a bit confused as to what Syra was talking about, but then he thought about how Leofrick entered the room. "Oh! Yes, I agree. Quite flashy." Seren's attention turned back towards Leofrick.

"How are you today, Leo?"

Ozan crosses his arms across his chest, and nods to the blood covered Uordeq he had met in the Shady Corners. He lets the gathered speak amung themselves, having little to say.

"Im fine, thank you. Just a little worse for where." He turns to the the others present. "Hello syra, and hello to you Ozan." Leofrick teleports to an open chair, sitting comfortably and pulling out his black book, scribbling notes on to his pages.

Syra looked over to Seren when he agreed about the blood being a nice touch. "You agree? I would have never thought you would be one to enjoy the sight of blood." she spoke in a confused tone before returning her attention to Leofrick. "Hello Leo." Syra watched Leofrick as he teleported to the chair and began to wright in his book. Of course her curiosity struck once more and she moved closer to Leofrick. "What's new in that book of yours?" a smile crossed her face as she was being nicer to her brother than usual, though she has grown a tolerance for his attitude.

Seren laughed and turned to Syra. "Oh no no no, I meant his entrance. It was quite flashy how he came in here." Seren teleported and appeared a short distance away from the group, and then walked back over to his spot. "Like that. See? Flashy."

Seren turned towards Leofrick again, pointing at his blood stained clothing. "What...uhm..What exactly happened there? If you don't mind me asking.."

"this book? Oh, you know. Secronus being Ressik and how everything is going down hill. Oh, this?" Leofrick pulls at his robes looking at the blood stain. "This from my hunting, I have to eat some how."

The new recruit that Seren had occupied for the guild seemed to morph out of the door way "Seren" he cried. "remind me next time not to buy drinks from a shady goblin ever again, LOOK AT ME IM AN ANGORI." Elrik walked over to the chair next to Leo and sat down. "I see someone has invited a new face to the hall and its an ixifar." Elrik walked over to the new face and introduced him self in a hesitant manner. "The names Elrik, Elrik Ashwin seems we will be seening more of you around here. Iv'e also noticed the blood stained sword fancy yourself a fighter?"

"Of zorts," turning to the Angori, Ozan continues, "I am Ozan, Elrick, calm vourzelf." Ozan redraws his sword, and plants the tip into the wooden floor of the Warrior's Hall, before placing his hands on the pommel of the sword.

Syra giggled at Seren as he teleported around. "If you say so" She then turned back to Leofrick and took an open seat next to him. "Oh yes, Secronus being Ressik. Quiet an interesting surprise. That Secronus has pretty clever tricks.." She stopped for a moment when the doors swung open a third time, she looked at the Angori then once more to Leofrick. She leaned in a spoke with a whisper trying to keep the conversation between just Leofrick and herself. "You know.. there is a chosen... you don't happen to know who it may be, do you?" Her tone was full of curiosity and playfulness.

Ozan lifts his blade free of the floor, before slamming it back into the floor, resounding a loud thump. "Careful azking avout ze Mazter of Zhadowz. Tiz an ill omen, Id rather not draw is Zonz here...." Ozen  then lifts one finger to his beak, "Shhhhh......." Ozan then looks to around him, as if expecting them to appear out of thin air.

Seren, breaking out of deep thought, snapped his attention towards the group again. He looked at Elric and smiled. "Hello, Elric! Haven't seen you in a while, you look like you're doing well."

Seren thought to himself for a little longer, then turned towards Syra and Leofrick and spoke. "Secronus being Ressik? Hmm.. that's odd."

Seren walked to one of the dummies and started poking it. He turned to Ozan and asked him "How long have you been in town, Ozan?"

Leofrick looked to Ozan, with a slight grin on his face. "Do not fear my friend, I believe we can handle af few children. Leofrick snaps his fingers, causing prime light to glow from his fingertips. He then looked to Syra. "Let's talk about that else where, that information is classified and only known to a few." He then turned to Seren. "The lord of Shadows has many abilities, transforming himself into another form is simple to one such as him."

Elrik raised a brow. "Alot has seemed to surfaced since i left hasn't it, i never would of guessed that Secronus was Ressik. i feared something had changed in the wind when i arrived." Elrik motions seren and whispers into his ear. "theres matter i would like to discuss with you on a far later date?" Turning facing ozan he smiled bowed his head as it rose back up he held out his hand welcome to our town and to a new friend.

Syra smiled at Ozan as he spoke of Secronus "I agree with Leo, we can handle a few." she then winked and turned back to Leofrick whispering once more "Yes, somewhere else." Then looked to Elrick "Angori hmm? How did you manage that transformation?"

Elrik turned to Syra with a grim face "dont take ale from a shady goblin, it was a race change potion instead only paid 3 gold for it but still. I think i need to cut back on my drinking a little, what do you think?"

Ozan drags the dummies back to thier correct places, and quietly leaves the Warrior hall.

Syra smiled "You can never drink to much..Shady Goblin, who might that be?" Syra then pulled a small vile from her pouch, the vile was dark and full of some sort of red liquid. Opening the vile to took a welcoming sip.

Seren stood there quietly and listened to everyone else. He looked towards the door, and began to walk towards it. "Farewell, friends. I will see you all at another time. I have things to do. Take care!" He waved as he stood in front of the door, and turned to walk out.

Syra then stood and started for the door. She walked out of the hall heading for the Pirates Den.

Elrik mutters in a quiet tone "this is most pecuilar, i was hope to have a more conversing time with ozan" as Elrik walked away the candles in the hall faded. Elrik eyed over leo nodded his head and bid him farewell. "by the way before i leave... next time teleport to your kill less blood that way"
