It was dark out.. Night once again.. The spacious fields blow slightly in the wind. Awaiting the presence of the family members, a figure stands waiting somewhere..

Katri crept up on the farm, growling low in her throat when she spotted the figure. Her hood was drawn and her mask up. The Uordeq's dark eyes glittered dangerously. "Vhat deed you vant, arrogant one?"

Folnir stumbles into the field clutching his stomach and retches

"Woah, I've had a bit too much ale tonight." He manages to say before he vomits onto the ground. Folnir squints as he sees the figure in the dark.

"Well met traveller, you new to these parts?"

"hahahahaha.... You people are too easy.. The town of Egent was harder.. Atleast they knew what I really could do.." Said a voice from somewhere on the roof of the farm.

Folnir takes his coat and wipes some of the chunks off his beard.

"Whats you name lad, your don't seem right in the head spouting that nonsense from on top of that barn come down here and have a drink." Folnir shouts pulling out a flask and shaking it.

Katri looked up at the figure on the roof, spotting his outline in the dark. "Clearly you theenk you can do more than you really can..."

She waited for him to speak, cloak fluttering lightly around her ankles in a small breeze.

The figure then fell and hit the ground. It was a bag of wheat. "Who said I was on the roof?" Said a voice in the single tree behind the group.

Astrum walks up to see the commotion.

"Watermelonapplejuice."

A bright light explodes from his fingertips.  -Vicinity reveal-
He quickly spots the man's hiding spot.

"Watermelonapplejuice"

Astrum dissappears and reappears directly beside the man.

"Can I help you?"

He asks calmly.

"I vill not be playink a game ohf follow the fhoolish coward tonight. Either come down and say vhat you haff to say or leaf." Katri kept her senses sharp in seeking out the arrogant male. That was when Astrum solved the problem for her. "Good evenink Astrum."

The figure, unmoving by the mans presence grinned. "Well done, well done.." The man jumped from the tree tops and landed on the dirt road without a sound. "So, you truly are an arrogant fool hmm?" The man was wearing a tunic to big for himself and was showing most of his chest. He wore blue pants too. He wasn't armed at all. He had long black hair with a knot in the back.

Astrum doesn't utter a word and dissappears again, reappearing in front of the man.

"I believe that it may be you who is the arrogant one.  It is unwise to make so many enemies with whom you have no quarrel.  Perhaps you should save childish conflict for those who have wronged you.  Oh, and here is your star."

Astrum holds the star out in his hand and it shatters into dust before sprinkling to the ground.

"You know, it's awefully unkind to mumble rude thinks about oneself een public. A sign of madness too. Vhat ees eet that you vant." Katri's voice dropped to a harsh growl, studying the man.

The man, in one quick invisible movement grabs the star, twirls around Astrum and the star is at his neck.. "Who said you were my enemy?" The man threw the star on the ground and shoved the mage forward. "I have come here to.. Make a deal.. Pay me, say, five coins and I shall leave this town, you, and the Uordeq alone... What say you?"

(none of the stars stuff happened because I shattered it but ok)

Astrum reaches lifts his hands slowly.

"I have a better deal.  How about you leave and we let you live."

Katri looks at Astrum with surprise then an amused look settles into her eyes and a smile forms beneath her mask, "Vell Astrum, I like the vay you are theenkink tonight."

The man grinned. "I don't have time for this.. I admit, you are more then I have expected.. Give me my gold, and I shall leave.. If you continue to be a disgrace, I shall have to continue with my mad rampage in your so called 'town' and not stop until I am satisfied.."

Folnir takes a good looks at the man and strokes his beard

"I'm inclined to agree with the princess and the Empyrean here, we don't take kindly to bandits in Jaspers." Folnir says folding his arms.

Katri's head snapped around to the man, eyes glittering maliciously, "Eef your rampage ees fhor five gold.... Leaf... And ve let you live. I shall leaf eet at Astum's vords. Thees "rampage" as you call eet vill only end badly fhor you."

Astrum steps towards the man.

"I will say it one more time 'friend.'  You are outmatched.  If you continue this, then I assure you that you will regret it.  Noone here will bend to your selfish demands.  The people here have fought and bled for this town.  If you think you can walk in and run it, you are dead wrong."

"So sad it had to come to this..." The man reached inside his tunic and pulled out a katana.. "I won't kill you boy.. Your blood shall not go well with my blade.. I guess you stand true to this mud hole of a town.. Know that I am not doing this for my own need.. I am doing it for the people who really need it.." The man jumped into the wheat field and dissapeared into the night...

"Vell, that vasn't strange at all. Astrum, shall ve varn Lady Nivarian?" Katri looked to the taller Empyrean.

"That's what I thought."  Astrum mumbles.

He turns around and smiles.

"Hiya Katri!   What are you doing on this fine night?"

Upon listening to Katri's question, Astrum responds.

"I care not.  She is not my sheriff."

Folnir grits his teeth and growls

"Well it seems we have a never ending supply of bandits in the woods around here white haired one, oh yes well it seems we haven't been introduced, I'm Folnir." The dwarf says extending a hand to astrum

Astrum grabs the dwarf's hand with his left hand and shakes it firmly.

"Well hello there longbeard!  These bandits aren't so bad as they seemed.  Their bark rarely matches their bite!"

A large grin covers Astrum's face.

Katri nods in recognition of Astrums disclaiming of Akon and then answers his question, "I vas answering a note from that fhool. I also belief eet vas he who mentioned my Father's name een a carvink on the Tavern door... Vhat are you doink here anyvay?"

A man sprints towards the group with a massive sword in his hands. "Where is Fancy? What did I miss? I heard there is a bandit in town.." It was Zenphere.

Astrum turns towards Katri.

"Well that huffed up fool through his star at me so I thought I'd return it.  Seemed rather rude and I hoped to teach him a lesson."

As Zenphere approaches Astrum looks towards him.

"Welcome back.  It's been a while."

"I've been doing some research on the rin-... I've been doing some research lately.. Nothing important.. Anyways, right now we need to get that bandit out of town.. He sounds like bad news.."

Astrum laughs loudly for a full three seconds.

"Bad news?  I didn't even touch him and he fled.  He's not bad news.  He's just bad."

"It don't care.. I want him out of my town..." Zenphere says.. :where did he flee?

Folnir laughs

"Nice to see a wizard in town your expertise would come in handy seeing all the things that plague this quaint retreat." Folnir says as he takes a brings the flask to his mouth.

Katri let out a low snicker, "He seemed oh so very frightenink... Hiding unteel pulled eento the open and all..."

Astrum pauses in response to Zenphere, his face a mask of confusion.

"I just told you.  he left."

Astrum points in two different directions, neither of them correct.

"That way."

Zenphere, not saying a word begins walking into the wheate field.. "So the hunter is being hunted.. He shall know soon not to mess with Sardia.."

Katri laughs out loud at the "enlightened" behavior of the wizard. She starts to pull the flask from her side up to her lips and sighs, holding it out to folnir. "Vould you like some vhiskey... Eet's not poisioned, but i shouldn't dreenk eet. "

Folnir eyes the flask wearily

"Sorry Princess, I'm a Gin kinda Dwarf." Folnir says producing a bottle seemingly out of nowhere. The antique bottle seems to be made of crystal and had mist dancing off the surface of the bottle the label was covered in dwarven runes.

"This is the drink of my people." Folnir said as he took a drought of the bottle.

Katri nodded, pouring the gold-colored contents of the flask onto the ground. "Vell, Folnir, enjoy your drink. I vill be headink back to the tavern now for some vater and perhaps a bite to eat. Haff a good night." The girl nodded to each of the men and made her way back into town.
