The Lonliness Creeps In

Cail wanders through town well after dark with only a small blue flame, materializing out of his hand, to light the way. He walks by the tavern and hears joyous laughter of the citizens of Jastrey drinking and merrymaking at the newly built structure, albeit built not in the fashion they once knew it, and for a fleeting moment, he thinks of how fun it would be to join them.

But alas. It is not his place to be, for it was three months ago today that his father attempted to kill him.

So Cail continues to walk, slowly and with his head lowerd looking at the blue shadowed ground. He looks up and notices that there are no stars out  and are hidden behind the clouds.

He was cut off from all he knew. He had no friends that he had known longer than a month, he had no family to speak of that he could go to or contact and even the stars seemed to abandon him...

He was alone in this world and sadness consumed him.

Rasiri wanders out of the woods toward the tavern and spots a blue fire bobbing along and he heads toward it.  "Greetings Cail, you seem a bit out of it.  Are you okay?" Rasiri makes his way toward the big Empyrean and quietly puts one hand on his shoulder. "I can feel your sadness. What is wrong?"

" Well met, Rasiri. I am just taking a midnight stroll through town because it is a sort of aniverssary for me. Three months ago, my father tried to kill me and he took my mothers ressurected corpse with him as he ran away. I just thought of how alone I am in this world. No family, few friends, and I still havent found a permanent home yet, no matter how much i want to settle down. It's slightly heart breaking."

Cail reaches up to trace the scar on his neck as he finishes speaking to feel it's long healed texture imbued with memories of that fateful night.

"You have an aversion to necromancy then i would assume... most interesting."  Rasiri looks up and puts his hand on Cail's shoulder. "This is Jastrey, A town of wierdness and things that are extraordinary in most places.  But as odd as the town may be you can find allies and friends here.  Starting with me.  If you ever need my help or if you ever find yourself lonely seek me out.  I will help, and also if you get any leads on your father tell me.  I will help you capture and put your mother to rest.... noone need be like that.  And if you can put up with a goblin you are more than welcome to come stay with me."  Rasiri wobbles a bit on his feet and puts on his most compassionate smile.  "You are never alone here."

Cail drops his hand and says, "Thank you, Rasiri. I will be sure to seek you out if and when I need your assistance." Cail puts on a small smile and extends his arm to shake Rasiri's hand.

Rasiri smiles and shakes Cail's hand. "By the way... with your aversion to Necromany i have something to talk to you in private about.  I think you might be able to help me out"

"Oh? Well let us walk, if you feel up to it, and tell me about it."

Rasiri and Cail exit into the woods and then a good while later they return. (PM held in chat.) Then Rasiri nods at Cail and heads off towards the tavern.

Cail watches as Rasiri walks off and then he mumbles under his breath and a tower of fire erupts from his palm blazing into the sky.

"First retribution, then Revenge."
