Looking for Grishal

Taklinn can be seen walking about mumbling to himself.  "Durned green skinned devil never does stay in the same place long"  He searches through town and ends up on the road leading out of town.  He hikes up his belt and begins to walk around looking in Grishal's normal hiding places, cursing under his breath the whole time.

"HEEEEEEEELLLLLLPPPPP!", Grishal screams from in the woods just off the trail.  "Grishal stuck, Grishal stuck!  HEEEEELLLLLLPPPPP GRISHALLLLLL!  Grishal not want to die like this.  Grishal only trying to help Ms. Shiney Manners.  HEEEEEEEELLLLLLPPPPP!"

Taklinn walks slowly and quietly towards the sound of the voice echoing through the woods.  He looks left and right as he walks into the brush to see what was wrong with the goblin, keeping his eyes darting around to see if anyone else is hiding in the shadows.

Hanging from a rope wrapped around his ankle, Grishal swings wildly from a tree as he tries to untie himself between paniced screams for help.  "Boss Taki-sakks!  Over here!  Boss Taki-sakks help Grishal!"  Grishal screams as he sees the dwarf walk into the woods.

Taklinn spots Grihal hanging from the rope and walks over to him, looking up and taking the spectacle in before responding.  "What in Githal's wrath have ye got yerself into ye dolt?  Ye gotta watch where yer going.  How long have ye been up here?"  As he waits for the goblin to answer, he looks up and down the tree, trying to estimate how far up Grishal is hanging, and trying to trace the rope to where it is tethered in an attempt to figure out how to get the fool down.

"Grishal want to do nice thing for Shiney Manners Fairy and Grishal see a little squirrel running off with her nuts."  Grishal does his best to nod in an approving manner while hanging upside down from the tree.  "Grishal chase the little fuzzy squirrel down the path and into the woods and Grishal hid when Grishal saw all the army men in red and white.  They scare Grishal almost as much as the bad man in black."

Grishal squirms more trying to free himself from the snare and continues, "Grishal see the moon four times while hanging from the tree.  Had to eat all of the nuts I got for Shiney Manners Fairy and my favorite froggy pet.  Grishal drink plenty though, nice man in a purple dress showed Grishal how to make holy water!"  The goblin swings around in circles as he adjusts himself to show the dwarf his new trick.

Taklinn nods as Grishal explains himself, and in spite of himself, he understands the logic of the goblin's actions.  "Sounds rather reasonable fer ye lad.  Who was this man in purple robes that ye speak of, is it someone ye have met before?" he asks as he finds the spot on the tree that the rope is tied to, cleverly camoflaged to look similar to a vine.  He looks to the rope and then to the goblin doubtfully, trying to figure a way to get him down without hurting him.  After a few seconds of contemplation he smiles to himself and says to Grishal "Hold on lad, this is probably goin' to smart a bit" he says as he laughs to himself and draws his two handed axe......

Grishal giggles a little bit as a strong smelling warm liquid splatters in a circle around the goblin as he spins violently in circles.  "Holy water!" Grishal laughs uncontrollably.

Grishal stops laughing suddenly as he notices Taklinn drawing his axe.  "Boss Takisakks, what you need that axe for?  We don't need to take Grishal's scalp again to make him smarts do we?"

As the liquid splashes on Taklinn's head and armor, he sniffs the air, as if trying to remember the smell.  "Nah that didn't work the last time lad, I'm just trying to figure out how to get ye down."  Taklinn looks up to see if it is raining and gets splashed on the face as the warm liquid creeps down his beard.  He licks his lips, and once again recognition of the substance's taste seems to cross his features.  "It was that damned Jester!!!!  I know exactly how he "brews" his holy water.  Taklinn's ears grow red and he begins spitting while he reaches for his flask.  After a long pull he looks back up to the gobin and spits on his hands, taking up Espidrel's Bolt in both hands, and begins chopping the tree below where the rope is tied.  (40 shock x3, 30 shock, 20 shock x12, 10 shock until the tree is down).......

As Taklinn's fury is played out on the tree, he scans the area for the goblin and to survey the damage.

The tree splinters under the wrath of Taklinn's axe.  Shards of wood and splitners spray in every direction during the barrage and some of them start to smolder and catch on fire in the air, only to fall to the ground gently as pieces of ash and soot.

Grishal smiles while laying on the ground mimicking the sound of the tree faling over and crashing to the ground.  "Crack.... crack... crack.... errrrrrrr... THUD!   Grishal ok, but why boss Takisakks have to kill that tree so bad?  Little tree didn't put up much of a fight."  Grishal laughs and begins to try to stand up, but falls flat onto his face as he can't quite summon the strength in his legs to stand properly.

Taklinn surveys the wreckage and spots Grishal trying to get onto his feet.  He slaps his hand to is forehead and lets out a sigh as he walks over to assist Grishal.  "Now don't ye be pawin' me with those filthy hands of yers, and no more pouring that piss all over me!" he says as he reaches down and pulls the Goblin to his feet with one arm.  (Strength 1).

Grishal takes Taklinn's hand and attempts to stand up.  He winces in pain as he stands on the foot that he had been hanging from and tries to favor the other leg.  Weak from not standing on his own for half a week, Grishal slumps forward collapsing into Taklinn.  Panicing as he topples over, Grishal reaches out for anything he can find to brace himself.  His hands darting frantically, they finally find a bit of a grip at the end of Taklinn's beard.  The goblin hangs pitifully by one hand from the dwaf's beard, knees barely inches above the ground.

"Boss Taki-sakks?"  Grishal asks meekly, obviously unable to walk, "Can you carry Dr. Griffon back home?"

"LET GO OF ME DURNED BEARD, YE DOLT!" Taklinn screams at the goblin as he tries to not fall forward onto the goblin.  Taklinn takes the goblin up with both hands under Grishal's rancid armpits and lifts him up so they are once again looking eye to eye.  He lifts him over his shoulder and begins carrying Grishal like a sack of potatoes back towards the trails.  "Ye never touch me beard Dr. Griffon, yer too respectable a person to raise a dwarf's ire like that.  Why ye are to be acting in a dignified manner if ye are to keep up the ruse and diguise."
