Lunch Time

It was just after noon when Jael entered the tavern. He turned sideways so that the large shield would fit through the doorway. Jael displayed a level of calm not often seen by those around him. Instead of his plate he wore a chainmail vest, hardened black leather pauldrons, and black bracers. On his shield a large yellow sun with orange flames showed prominantly where there was nothing before. Sitting down at a table he leaned his shield up against the wall and ordered some food and a tall glass of mead. He sat down with a small smile and looked about the room to see if anyone else had the same idea this day. Lunch in the Tavern.

Galdor sat in his usual corner of the tavern, this time reading a book as he enjoyed the small bit of social interaction. He looked over to his book to see the human walk through the door. He turned the page and continued his reading.

Valez sits in a corner, watching from the darkness. He grins a toothy grin when Jael enters, but he doesn't say anything.

Jael started to eat his meal once it arrived with a new glass of mead. A sound caught his attention. It appeared snowball had wandered into the room and Jael ordered another chicken, placing it on ground and sliding it towards Snowball.

He spotted Valez and Galdor in the room, looking between the two he ultimantly got up and went to Valez. Jael gave a nod, "Good day Galdor." he said in passing with a smile tipping his mead up in the Elf's direction.
Sitting down at the table with Valez he lifted his mead, "Greetings Valez, it has been a while. How have you been?"

"TO you as well," the elf replied, not looking up form his book.

Valez grins. "Good, I've been traveling. Getting to know the lands a little better. Spent some time in shadow. How have you been?"

"I have been fine friend. I have actually been staying here, studying and training. I have taken up a new fighting style as of late. Also I learned much about my family origins and attempting to retrace my brother and sister's tracks.", Jael takes a bite of food followed by a drink of mead. "Oh. I forgot you had been gone for so long. My older brother had our parents killed and turns out he is a damned Ressik follower now. He also dragged back my little sister to brainwash her. Telma must be eight or nine by now... apparently she is already very knowledgeable and probably a murderer." Jael's voice was suprisingly calm, though a almost palpable anger could be felt around him.

Next time he took a drink the glass returned loudly to the table, "I suppose it is good that I am doing fine. Anyways it is good to see you again, let us drink to our good health." Jael raised his almost empty glass.

Victor walks into the shady corner wearing only his black tunic and pants with a small dagger strapped to his side.  He eyes the human and elf sitting, walks over, takes a seat and calls for the waitress.

"Ah, just the man I was looking for." Victor eys over to Jael. As the waitress comes over Victor orders up an ale and some porriage. "Greeting Valez, it has been awhile since I last seen you, hope these days find you well."

Jael took another drink before placing both of his hands on the table and inhailed deeply. Victor's voice brought Jael's eyes up from the table, "You are looking for me?" He watched as Victor sat down, watching his interaction with Valez.

Victor looks over to Jael after taking a swig from his ale.

"Why yes, I have a propostion for you to consider, however it would be rude of me to bother you while your relaxing.  Why don't you come on over to the brotherhoods tower after your lunch here and we can talk further on matters."

Looking rather jovial Victor takes another swig of ale just as his porriage arrives.
