To Make a Spell of His Own

Having just arrived at his own cabin, Cail, in a rush to get started, slams the door behind him, throws his cloak halfheartedly onto the bed, and then gently sets his bag down onto the desk. Opening it, he pulls the two pair of eyes out and sets them in seperate stone bowls. He pours oil over each of them from a glass vial and then unfolds a piece of paper with scribbled writing on it.

"Ok. Let's see which of these conjugations will work correctly."

Laying his finger on the top line of writing he speaks aloud while placing his other hand over the first eye, "Vem lahn, cremm de lor. Cremm de lor iskar!" The eye started to glow with an erie light and then a loud pop sounded throughout the room. The eye then exploded sending it's juices and other entrails all over the table. Wiping a drop of congealed blood from his face, Cail sighs and moves the remnants in the bowl to the side. He crosses off the first incantation and says, "Well it most definitely wasn't that one."

He puts his finger on the next line and places his other hand over the second eye. Cail clears his throat and then says, "Len koor incremmer. Incremmer de lor iskarvante!" The second eye wobbled as if it was jelly. It started to inflate like a balloon, but then it suddenly deflated and the only thing left was a small gelatinous sack. Getting a little annoyed, Cail pushed aside the bowl and pulled closer the third.

Placing his hand over the bowl, he then recited the third line on the paper, "Clar de la vor nahn. Nahn de lor cahr veight iskar!" An instintaneous flash filled the room leaving spots in Cail's uncovered eye. As soon as his vision cleared he looked at the third eye and a grin spread across his face. The eye had completely changed colors the iris went from its original color of undead white to a normal brown color.

"Ha ha! Finally," he said in an overly exited tone. "I can now say I can rest easy. No more hiding it for me!" Cail rips off the bandage around his head and places his right hand over his eye. Repeating the same incantation he says, "Here goes nothing. Clar de la vor nahn. Nahn de lor cahr veight iskar!" He grunts as pressure fills his head. The blinding light returned and all was white. Disoriented, Cail stumbles over to the bed and falls.

Coming to his senses after a few minutes he struggles to his feet with a pounding headache. He wobbles over to the large bowl of water and looks into it. He smiles a weak smile when he sees that his eye has become hazel.

"It is done."
