A Memorial and An Harborage

Shadra walked back from the direction of the Shady Corner across the path to the Jasterian Hospital of Istensia. She paused in front of the window to the left of the entryway where a large banner hung adorned with an ivory scimitar bathed in sun-colored flames. The young ixifar drew from her pouch a large bouquet of slightly dried-out wild flowers. She then put them in a bottle filled with water and set the vase amongst the daisies she had previously planted in the nagnome-crafted window box. She then hung a golden placard on the flower box. The placard, crafted by Richter, read, "In memory of Mynra, the Lady of the Golden Hand." She took a step back to look at the memorial, her hands clasped together in a stance of reverance. She felt a surge of sadness as she thought back to Mynra's murder. As she was witnessing the tragic event unfold for the second time she couldn't help but feel angry that there was nothing she could do to save her patron immortal. Shadra bent her head down and whispered an inaudible prayer.
