- Human ancestry merits have been dropped. Characters who had them (Brutus Val Borda, Ezac Braddock Atomo III, Olaf Leifsson, and Todd Nobbs) are entitled to a full respend.
- The additional merit prerequisites have been dropped from Master Chronomancer, Master Illusionist, Master Mindbender, and Master War Mage. Characters who have these merits may request to drop the old prerequisite merits and actions.
- The level of the assassin Cutthroat merit has been increased to 6, and the level of Opportunist has been reduced to 3. Assassins of 5th level or lower are entitled to a respend of their assassin levels.
- Theurges may now learn the Sympathy merit, which allows them to simultaneously benefit from most curative effects they use on others.
- Hierophants may now learn the Penitence merit at level 3, which allows them to retain their passive healing bonus even when attacking.
- Druids may not learn the Armor of Thorns merit at level 9, which allows them to use Retort 1 Sharp at will.
