A Mysterious Posting

Wyndfere sees this piece of parchment and scoffs. "Well, isn't this out of the ordinary. I wonder if we can muster up a similar chaos to counter it. Perhaps, I need to stir things up a bit more around here."

Akon strides up, the heavy keys jingling at her side. She flicks her red daring eyes over Wyndfere, though more out of curriousity than malace, looking the note over. "And just what kind of chaos were you thinking, firebird?" Akon reaches up and plucks the note off the dagger, reading it over.

Wyndfere looks to Akon, "I'm not saying to cause chaos in town, I mean chaos on the battlefield. Fight fire with fire, but let ours burn hotter. If someone or something is to bring chaos upon us, then we must fight with the same vigour. I mean, an uncontrolled party is an unpredictable party and therefore deadly.
"But let's just hope this piece of tattered parchment is just a rumor, for what kind of chaos actually posts a notice that it's coming? Seems unchaotic, don't you agree?"

Blisdon stumbles up next to the ixifar and the warlock,  Eyeing the parchment with a dubious scowl on his face before chuckling to himself. "Perhaps it takes some good ol' Dwarven sense to see this, but is there really much to fear from anyone who can't even nail some parchment onto a wall without damn near burning the damn thing to cinders in the process?"

Akon chuckles at Blisdon and nods to Wyndfere. "The type of chaos that thinks far to highly of itself and makes mistakes." She smirks. "We will see to the bottom of this, and show them how even an army falls like flies when faced against us." She smiles with that daring smirk over at Wyndfere, folding the parchment and taking the dagger from where it was stuck.

Wyndfere returns a grin and snickers, "I look forward to getting my feathers reddened with the blood of fallen foe, the smell burnt flesh in the air, and fire illuminating the battlefield. If there is to be chaos, then let there be chaos."

Akon smiles with that unsettling kink in her lips. "Ah yes...chaos indeed. I must admit, I did so enjoy the look on those fool's faces when over half their line dropped at your hand Wyndfere." She chuckles darkly.

"The twisting chaos of the maelstrom breeds some of the most horrific creatures known to the shards." Grumbled the dwarf as he fidgeted with the noose that still hung from his neck "I'd have to confer with my brothers to say for a certainty, but if it is their fate to die then you can  rely upon the aid of the wild hunt for the glorious battle to come."

Chataya recognizes the three standing around the post and walks up to have a look. "Greetings, Sheriff," she says with a respectful nod. "Hello brother Wyndfere, hello dwarf. What has caught everyone's attention?" She notices the rusty dagger in the Sheriff's hand, and the folded parchment. "Is there trouble afoot again in Jastrey?"

Akon nods to Blisdon, folding the note and tucking the dagger in her belt. "Well met, Sir Dwarf." She adds with a nod. "It was fine fighting next to you and yours on the field, and I hope to do it again soon. I assure you I am not at all forgetting what that army has done. And I will see to it that it happens nay again. So long as it is within my power...I'm getting damn tired of being on the defensive."

Akon then looks to Chataya as she approaches, eyeing her over as if sizing her up. She then returns the nodded greating. "Afternoon. Just more brigands wishing to bring hell upon themselves." Akon looks behind her, as if half expecting the ego inflated rogue to be there.

Solas walks into the Town Post. He hits it with a thud before stumbling backwards. He reaches out his hand, touching the wood. "Ow!" He says loudly. "Who puts a pole in the center of center of Town?" He says. "Oh that's right, most towns." He quickly mutters.

Chataya reaches a hand out to steady the esper. "Solas, you should be more careful. You should find someone to stay with you to help guide you. You could run into something much worse than a pole. Especially in Jastrey." She shakes her head while thinking of all the things that have happened in town just in her short time here.

"What do you intend to do, Sheriff?"

Solas put his hand behind his head. "Yes I suppose I should watch where Im going." Solas paused for a minute. "Well you know what I mean." He looked away meekly. "So, what's all the ruckus then?"

"Good evening, fellow Ixifar. It looks like we have someone running around town making threats to our order in Jastery. As if there's not enough harming our towsfolk already. Tell us, sister Chataya, what do you think we should do if there is a great chaos coming to town?"

Akon also reaches out to steady Solus. "I have to agree with the Ixifar.  Your balance is tipped one way now... but it could easily be tipped again. Do be careful..."

She looks over to Chataya. "I intend to find out who brought about this silly little bit of paper, and this horribly well kept scrap of metal. I'm hardly concerned, mind you."

Jables walks out from the nearby tree shadows obviously overhearing the conversation about the note. His face is down and hood is up avoiding eye contact with anyone. "Maybe you all are misinterpreting the meaning of this note..." He says smirking. "Maybe there is a deeper meaning than just senseless killing and battle. It would be wise not to jump to conclusions." Jables then turns and walks back into the shadows and disappears.

Akon's eyes follow Jables like a hawk after a mouse. "Oh ho ho, I know that voice...I know that voice well." She smirks darkly. "Seems the rabble has come back to be roused. You'd be best to watch that little black cloaked rat..."

"That is quite a difficult question, Wyndfere. I have been a wanderer most of my life, so I do not have much experience with long-term ramifications of choices made in a town such as this. I know I do not have the answer to this riddle, but I feel unity would be a step in the right direction. If the whole town were united, fools like these Ressik scum shouldn't be able to settle down and take over. I understand that there is a thing to be said for brute force, as they appear to have had before they left this area, but unity can be stronger than an army of fools any day."

She glances at Blisdon and Akon, standing near each other. "If an Uordeq and a Dwarf can stand in such close quarters and be civil with each other, surely this town can band together and be unbreachable!"

She shakes her head. "If, however, that is an unattainable goal, as I fear, perhaps a few individuals will rise up and take it upon themselves to be the protectors of this town, by ANY means necessary!" Chataya appears surprised at her own outburst, and takes a breath. "I've become attached to this place so quickly. Very interesting."

Her head turns at the voice. "Who or what was that?"

Solas Cocks an eyebrow at Akons comment pondering the meaning of her words. Before he can make a response He hears a new and unfamiliar voice. He snaps his head, looking from side to side. "Who else is here? What note? Someone show me." Solas pauses for a moment. "Blasted eyes. Someone read it to me."

Blisdon can't help but grin and laugh at his empyrean friends antics as he pats him heartily on the back and steadies him back upright. "Ya best be takin care o' that head of yours lad. It's got a lot more wibbly wobbly in there than it did before." He says with a big grin before shortly before the voice of a mysterious stranger emerging from the woods gives the novice shaman goosebumps in the most curious of places.

He tried to turn to the voice but only managed to see him vanish back into the woods as he did so, Curious about the situation he turned his head back to Akon and the two Ixifar nearby, arching a single one of his eyebrows into an obvious Expression of confusion and intrigue.

"Lover's spat 'tween Shadowfolk, I take it?"

Akon srunches up her nose in distaste, still looking to where the uordeq vanished in the trees. "Tch..." She clicks her tongue in distaste. "Uordeq rarely get along with one another...and that one was with the bastard that murdered me in the tavern before your folk arrived. But he has more than my blade to deal with now. It was him and his little friend's anticts that served as kindling to light the fire of law in this town. And so shall the law stand."
