New Staff Positions

Jennifer and I are looking to hire some new staff to lighten some of the logistical load. Since they require substantial work during events, the person filling each role will not be required to monster in addition to receiving boon. Read about the new positions below and either leave a comment or contact one of us if you're interested.

Custodian

Responsibilities: Ensure that common areas remain tidy and free of out-of-play materials during each event. Coordinate clean-up at the end of each event. Maintain a sign-up sheet of cleaning jobs. Ensure that helpers start on time, stay on task, and complete jobs adequately. Walk with the park ranger during inspections. Award boon for cleaning jobs after each event. Other related duties as directed by the Head of Logistics (Jennifer Ward).

Qualifications: You must have an impeccable attendance record with the game, since you'll be needed for every event. Preferably, you have also done most of the more difficult cleaning jobs in the past so you already know how they need to be done.

Compensation: The custodian is not required to perform monster duty and receives three boon per event.

New Player Counselor

Responsibilities: Orient new players and run the newbie mod at the start of each event. Help acclimate new players during events. Address new player questions during and between events. Other related duties as directed by the Head of Rules (Thad Ward).

Qualifications: You must have an impeccable attendance record with the game, since you'll be needed for every event. You must also have a solid knowledge of the rules and excellent communication skills, since you'll be explaining the rules to new players.

Compensation: The new player counselor is not required to perform monster duty and receives three boon per event.

Prop Master

Responsibilities: Transport props to and from storage each event. Keep the storage unit clean and organized. Launder monster tabards between events. Accept deliveries of new props and transport them to storage. Accept and award boon for new prop donations. Other related duties as directed by the Head of Logistics (Jennifer Ward).

Qualifications: You must have reliable transportation that can accommodate most or all of the storage unit in a single trip. You must also have an impeccable attendance and disciplinary record with the game, since you'll be needed for every event and you'll be trusted with several thousand dollars worth of game materials.

Compensation: The prop master is not required to perform monster duty and receives six boon per event.

I'd be interested in the Custodian Duty. I know most all cleaning duty as having worked at a camp before.

Plus I'm used to picking up after other people. My last roommate was a complete slob and all of the cleaning fell on me.

As for Attendance, I'm not planning on missing any games. After the first event, I'm hooked.

I would -love- to be the new player counselor. One of my absolute favorite parts of this game is meeting new people, getting them excited about the game, and helping them flesh out their characters. I would really enjoy helping the game out with this duty. As for my attendence, well, I've missed one game in two and a half years, I switched my job so I could have weekends free, and I'm always online to help folks out between games.
I would love to continue to be a friendly face and help out the new players! =D

To be honest I am also interested in the new player orientation. I have been a part of the unofficial newbie welcome squad for years. I have helped a ton of people create characters and I have missed one game in almost my entire time being here. Also I have recruited for the game extensively. I may live almost 3 hours fro. The game but I am on consistently and I warmly welcome every new player I see on, as well as suggest races and classes. Also I am deeply knowledgeable about game systems and have been meaning to submit mods for plot approval. If you guys choose someone else it won't break my heart but I really do want to put my love for the game into new players and help them love it like I do. Plus this could be my way of giving back to a game I love with all my heart.

I would still like to be involved in the new player orientation.  If you plan on having a plot member on this, I will happily volunteer to continue to work in that capacity.

Where is the prop storage located?   I have an F-150 pick-up and would be interested in helping with the props if it were not on the east side of Raleigh.

This may be strange comeing from me being ive only been here a few months but I would love to be apart of the new player oriantation.

I'm interested in the New Player Counselor position. This is my thrid season here but I've missed a few games. Now I have a job where I will be able to get all of the game weekends off. I feel like I have a good grasp on the basic rules. I am good at giving advice, instruction and answering questions. I have a fair amount of experience as a game master and feel like I have an understanding on how mods are run here. And I would be more than happy to work with Mark Shell :)

I found out that the storage unit is fairly close to Umstead. I would like to apply for the prop master position. I plan to come ot all the games and can usually get off early on Fridays. If desired, I can help out for this event. PM me with the location of the storage and I can meet the current prop master there any time tomorrow after ~2PM for training and orientation if desired.

You're hired, Jerry!!  I'll PM you all the info.

I would like to apply for the New Player Consular. Training is part of my OOG job anyway, and I do so love new players. Receiving boon for what I already do would be neat, ya know?
