The NPC Sandbox

Okay, so I've noticed a lot of people creating NPCs that never get past level one, and I thought I'd go ahead and let you all in on a little secret.

You, the players, have all the authority you need to administer an NPC as Nick and I have for PCs. You can grant them skill points (via the little plus sign next to their skill point total), thus increasing their level, then build them out as you see fit. You can even roll back choices you've made. I like to call this the "NPC Sandbox" because you can play around with different character options all you like to get ideas for how you'd like to build your PC.

Naturally, you won't be allowed to play any of your NPCs unless you join the Conspiracy, but it's still a fun tool to play around with. Use it. Enjoy yourselves. I'll sit here and try to think up ways to make the functionality a little more obvious. ;)

I think it's the fact that those little plus signs are just so *subtle*. Those of us who are expecting to add a level are a little confused because although the level is a function of the amount of skill points we're probably not looking there first, we're looking at...well, level.

I reject your reality and substitute my own!

Bah! Stop it with your sense-making! Everyone should have the same convoluted understanding of the system's every minor detail that I do!

Just kidding. I'll work on it when I get the chance. In the meantime, everyone knows the secret to limitless power. :P
