After leaving the scene of the dead fae, Cail made his way, slowly and stumbling, back to his cabin near the farm. He swayed from side to side still holding his cheek while a grimace painted his visage. The gravel seemed to shift underneath his boots as the pressure and burning built within his head. The pain reminded him of the last time he fought Cahill the Defiler. The memory of his dead friend and the pain he suffered then came to the forefront of his mind.
Making it, finally, to the front steps of his dwelling, he grabbed the railings with both hands as he made his way up and inside to his bed. He crashes down and curls up into a fetal position holding the sides of his head with both hands. The pain slowly grows as grunts and groans escape Cail's clenched teeth and sweat starts to bead on his brow. A few minutes passes and the pain receeds. Cail lowers his hands and turns to lay on his back, feeling the small drops of his water connect with other drops then roll down his forehead.
He let's out a sigh of utter relief, but that relief is short lived as Cail's body locks and his back arches at the sheer amount of electricity that passes through from his head and down his spine. He crys out in surprise then roars in pain as the wave of unnatural energy floods his senses. He now lives and breathes pain as back remain's arched and inchomprehensible words and yelling burst from his mouth.
The scar on his face began to glow ghastly purple and his right eye began to shine an incredibly white color. As the two hues intermingled, they seemed to dim the glow of the sun coming in through the windows and they created moving shadows on the walls of the wooden building. One could almost view these shadows as two people fighting one another as purple tried to dominate white, and white attempted to triumph over purple.
Random objects popped into existence as energy flowed out of the wizard that was screaming incoherent phrases. -CONJURE- Time seemed to slow as the pain worsened. As the day drew on, the agonized roaring could be heard nearly across Jastrey.
Hours passed and the day turned to night as the pain disappeared giving him a greatly appreciated sense of numbness. Cail lay there, his breathing heavy and drenched in sweat, trying not to think. He didn't have time to before his vision became black and he fell into a deep slumber filled with only the dreams of his madman of a father.
