Ohren's Homework

Submitted by David C. on Sun, 9/25/2011 at 8:53pm

Ohren has taken a bit of a break from his busy construction. He can be seen on the side of the tavern with a piece of charcoal in his hands.  He seems to be scribbling something on the wall repeatedly

The words are written as though a 3 year old wrote them but they are legible and the smily faces all have horns. He seems to be filling the entire side of the tavern with the writing.

"Ohren!" Katri approaches with an exasperated sigh. "Vhat on earth are you doing?"

The girl stops a short distance away and rests her head in her hands, reading his name and the faces drawn all over the side of the tavern. Clearly the Angori had taken what astrum had said to heart about the "squigglies."  She pinched the bridge of her nose between thumb and forefinger, closing her eyes and breathing deeply. "You couldn't haff found a better place to practice your writing?"

Cail stumbles past Katri carrying an arm load of books and stops behind her. "What do we have here," he asks as he squints, looking at the paper Ohren posted up.

"Oh my Ohren! What a grand job you are doing with your writing. It looks like you will be able to write angori poetry by the time i return to Jastrey."

Ohren pauses and looks at Katri.

"Axum saided to doded it all over Jaxy, so Ohren starteded wif da tabern. is gots lotsa places to squiggles stuffs on."
Ohren returns to scribbling his name with the charcoal.

Katri raises an eyebrow at Cail's comment, "Angori.... poetry? Oh gods no.... And that Astrum did...  Vell... at least the coal vill come off easily een the next rain."

The young uordeq shrugged. "Vell, eef you are going to practice shouldn't you practice some of your other emotion 'squigglies' as vell?"

Cail laughed at Katri's comment and said, "Ahh you may be right about that, but you do have to admit it is better than Goblin poetry."

Katri cringed at the thought, "ANYTHINK vould be better than Goblin poetry. That ees a fate vorse than death eetself een many cases..."

Ohren thinks about Angori Poetry and chuckles a little bit.

"Gori poyetree is more physycal den wordies. We doesnt has much used for wordies.."

Ohren looks to Katri

"Ohren isnt a sad angori so he doesnt maked sad angori face."

He continues to write on the walls attempting to cover the entire wall with his name and smiley faces

"Well we can always compare. We can go ask Rivka or Lopt, especially, if they would compose for us," Cail chuckled.

"NOOOO!!!! NOT LOPT!!!!"

Ohren grabs ahold of Cail trying to prevent him from getting the goblin.
"DON BRING HIM ROUND HERE!!!"

Cail dropped a couple of his books as Ohren grabs him, but smiles and says, "I was just kidding. You should know that I dont wish for any sort of torment like that. Now would you mind handing me those books please sir? My hands are a little tied up at the moment."

Katri laughed, tugging at a thin chain around her neck, "None of us vish to bring Lopt around. Don't vorry."

Katri bent and began to help cail gather the books he dropped, straightening and brushing off their covers. She nodded and offered them to him, nudging Ohren out of the way.

Ohren continues his progress with his name over and over again

Ohren's hand starts cramping as he goes on and on with his name and his mood chagnes aswell.

Katri laughs as she watches the mood change on the faces. "Don't hurt yourself, Ohren. Take a break."

"Thank you Katri. I'd hate to return these to the library with all the dust and stuff on them. That and I dont want to carry these all the way back home with me. And yes Ohren, you should definitely take a break. You know go work in the crimson quarter for a little while and write your name there on the stuff you built."

"No trouble at all." Katri nods. Adjusting her cloak about her shoulders and moving her bow to a more comfortable place on her back, she turned to Ohren and agreed with Cail, "Yes, use a break from the writing to work on the Crimson Quarter. Then write some on your own things."

Ohren looks at the small piece of charcoal left in his hand. he drops it and starts walkin off to continue his construction of the crimson quarter

Cail whispers to Katri, "Suggestive psychology should be used on him more often."

"Undoubtedly," Katri let out a low chuckle as she watched the angori walk off.
