Once per day actions

How does the once daily actions work? can you pick another action after it is used?

Once you use a daily action, that slot is locked until the reset on saturday. Don't fill your action list with them or you won't be able to use anything after they're blown.

It comes back to the fact that you have to have an action refreshed before you can refocus and replace it with anything.

Jessi and Mitch are correct. From the Refocus section of the rulebook, "...actions which haven't refreshed cannot be refocused." Since a daily action doesn't refresh until dawn the next day, it cannot be refocused until then.
