Outside the Shady Corner, a small cart being pulled by a smaller gnome with a wide brimmed, tri-cornered hat stops outside the tavern.
"If I could pull this thing all the way to the Crack of Noon, I'd do it, but by all that's holy I need something to eat!" He exclaims as he sets the cart down. "Sit, stay." he commands.
He enters the tavern and sets himself down before ordering.
"I'll just take some bread and ale. I can't stay for long, I've got some important news for Zwey from home! He's a big Angori, you've probably heard of him. Right proper adventurer, he is. Started a guild, too! It's doing rather well, last time I heard. In fact, Zwey was starting to become a bit stressed because we had so many members! Can you imagine that? Too many members! For a guild you'd think that wasn't such a bad thing, but I've never been good at that kind of thing."
Beiro rambled in this fashion to, honestly, no one in particular until his food arrived.
"Ah, thank you! I'll gobble this down right quick and get to Zwey. After I finish all this business at home, I'll start training under him, I hope. He'll teach me how to make a real difference in this world."
Beiro takes a few bites of his bread and a few sips of his ale and looks around for anyone he recognizes.
