The early morning sun peeks over the clear waters of the Rican coastline. Afew seagulls hang in the air, gliding on the warm morning air currents. Several of these gulls are gathered near Rune, who they've mistake as a stone. Hundreds of tracks lead to and fro from where Rune is seated on the beach; some are his own, but most are from local wildlife. The Golem is surrounded by dead and dissected crabs. Rune has it's left hand held open with a live crab in the center of it. The crab moves cautiously around on the stone, periodically scratching the stone to see if it can burrow and hide from the circling gulls. The Golem sits quietly; a large gem planted in his bare chest pulses faintly. It's 'eyes' pulse in unison with the gem as Rune studies the crab. One of the gulls lands on Rune's head and studies the crab as well, albeit for entirely different reasons.
The sun creeps up into the sky. The gull has left Rune, deciding that the dead crabs where just as good as the live one. The golem brings one of it's knees up, and places his friend atop it. Rune carefully picks up one of the dead crabs that surrounds him. The crab appears unharmed, and to have died from natural causes. The live crab skitters around on the knee, but soon realizes that its on the highest point of the beach, and raises it's claws in celebration. Rune places a stone finger on the top of the dead crab. It then mutters a quiet spell, and the digit adheres to the shell of the crustacean. With a quick pull, Rune lifts the top shell off the body. It then proceeds to carefully take the creature apart with some conjured tweezers. The golem goes from looking at the live crab to the dead one, sometimes pulling at the dead crab's dead tendons trying to mimic the live crab's movements. The gulls re-gather, and soon there is another gull on the golem's head, and two more have perched themselves on his shoulders.
