Rangers are Now Restricted

In case anybody notices the change, I've decided to make ranger a restricted class for the time being. I did this for two main reasons.

First, it seems like a lot of people are iffy about the widespread use of bows in the game. As far as boffer weapons go, they tend to present themselves as safety hazards fairly frequently. Because of this, bow proficiency may itself become a restricted skill, with interested players being required to demonstrate their ability to use them safely or take special safety courses before the skill is granted.

Second, as far as primary classes go, I've haven't heard anyone jumping up and down to play a ranger. This tells me that it's not a big opening game priority for anyone. Thus, I'd rather devote more attention to the classes that people are really enthusiastic about and save the work on rangers for later.

That's not to say that rangers won't be in the game. The class will still exist, but probably won't be fleshed out until some experienced boffer bow expert steps up and takes ownership of it. Let me know if any of you already fit the bill and I'll be happy to reconsider.

sounds good to me...course you can always use a diffrent system for those who want play a bow wielding character but don't know how to use a boffer bow. i.e. use packets instead of arrows and have them go through an arrow drawing motion. or something of the sort.

also if anyone knows how I'm interested in learning how to use a boffer bow correctly.
