Dusk has cast over the city of Jastrey, the air is still and the graveyard is quiet. Arys is inside her mausoleum shuffling through the few things she has, she finds the potion that she bought from the strange man who appeared in town. Pausing for a moment she looks over the glass bottle and mumbles "Here goes nothing" she pulls the cork from the bottle and chugs the black murky liquid inside. Wiping her mouth she gazes back at the bottle with a distraught look. Upset that the change had not taken place she throws the bottle smashing it against the wall. As she turns and makes her way out of the mausoleum she suddenly feels the potion start to take place, a wispy smoke rises from the flesh of her body. Becoming panicked she runs out of the mausoleum and into the open graveyard. Bursting through the doors she drops to the ground and screams in agony. Anyone close to the area is sure to hear the ear piercing screams coming from the graveyard. The wispy smoke grows heavier, as the skin on the Revenant comes to life, her skin ripping and tearing to let the new flesh show, her grey hazed eyes become a blackish goo and seep out of their sockets, new golden colored eyes push through.Dark designs in rough circles begin to engrave the flesh around her eyes. Her heart then begins to form a beat as another scream burst from the changing Revenant, anyone standing close to her can hear her heart pounding for the first time in years. Her pained screaming finally stops as she collapses fully to the ground as all vital signs stop and the thick wispy smoke engulfs her entire body before dissipating. A few seconds pass before she takes a deep inhale of breath coming to life. Arys slowly pulls herself off the ground and looks at her hands moving them and rolling them back and forth admiring her newly found flesh. Once on her feet she stares at her boots and begins to walk, in doing so the black wisp appears again as she vanishes from her spot and rematerializes crashing into a grave stone a few feet away, toppling over it.
"Can you please keep from destroying my yard? It takes alot of my own hard work and labor to clean this 'Sacred' place and I don't need you Living types desecrating it!" The riven stepped out from the woodline, his sleeves rolled up to expose his lightly decomposed hands covered in dirt with a smile on his face but obvious annoyance in his eyes. "You'd think your type would have more respect for your future home!" Pelle approaches the Urodeq, who obviously has a intense case of 'Clumsy Teleportation.' "Now if you'll please do me the kindness of leaving so I can fix your mess."
Arys turns to Pelle and looks at him with a frown. "I live here and I think I'll stay here!! Besides, I haven't been alive but for a few seconds" She then turns to Rasiri and looks at him confused "Teleportation? That's what that was?" Taking his hand she pulls herself up from the ground once more. She looks around the graveyard squinting her eyes and flinching at every noise she hears. "This is hard to get used to, everything is so loud and bright" Her voice is raspy and she coughs every few seconds.
"Another live one, Pelle?" Called an unmistakably female voice. As the dead man walking moved, someone else took his place atop the Burial chamber. Spyder, however, laid on her stomach and peered over the stone with one green eye and one long dead white eye. A fat, black furred spider sat atop her head as if it were watching those below as well.
The riven ignored the mouthy Revenant, considering him one of those poor, lost undead types. ""So, you must be one of those more practiced in the more darker arts then? Warlocks and Necromancy and what not. Because, if you really did live here, you wouldn't be soo keen on trashing the place now would you?" The riven turned to the familiar sound of Spyder's voice. "Ah, Madam Spyder. Most welcoming to see you. It seems we have a miscreant loose in our graveyard again. Atleast it's not a pesky paladin type this time." He turned back to the Urodeq, the same look of annoyance on his face.
Poppy drawn to the combination of Pelle's fussing and the scream lands next to Spyder atop the roof " Who is in the graveyard now?" She said in a tone that had hints of irritation.
"well, yes I suppose they are not paladins, Pelle. But at least the paladin was a bit of fun." She said a smirk twisting across her face
"Yea... you get used to it." Rasiri says as his eyes dart over his shoulder to take a quick glance at the fairy on the mausoleum And his face loses his wry smile for a split second. "Nice to see you too Stitches. Least I am polite enough to give a greeting. And I don't believe I have met you lady... spyder I think he called you?" Rasiri's eyes flash with irritation at the sight of yet another fairy as poppy lands.
Still weak from the transformation Arys starts to fall over again, catching herself before hitting the ground, another thick black wisp engulfs the newborn uordeq once more as she vanishes and reappears a few feet away. Arys makes a harsh landing sliding across the ground and falling on her face. A mumble of more pain comes from the uordeq, instead of getting back up she just laid there and held her stomach in agony. She screams as loud as she could "Make it stop!!!"
The fae snickered before taking off, wings of bone and spider webs carrying her down to the level of non-fae. She passed by Rasiri close enough for him to smell the scent of gravesoil and poison components that clung to her without answering him, but took to circling the fresh Uordeq. "You smell new, little girl..." She informed her quietly, words somewhere between a purr and a growl. She spoke more clearly after that. "Haven't been alive but for a few seconds?" She repeated, placing her hands on her hips expectantly as she stared down at her.
'The riven turned to the pursistant Revenant. "If I wished to gift you with a greeting, then be sure I would have. Now, if you'll please excuse me, I am quite busy." He turned away from the revenant to look down on the Urodeq once more. Not too long after he watched her (seek) attempt to teleport end in utter failure. "Perhaps you can refrain from teleporting about until you're well out of our graveyard. I do believe it's for everyone's best interests, afterall."
Poppy calling out to those below. "Maybe we should confine her? It would keep her from wrecking anything else" She said giggles as she watched the Uordeq port about. Out of the corner of her eye she catches revenant look. "Mau got your tongue, revenant. Or is their something you'd like to say?"
Arys opened her tightly closed eyes and glanced up at the fae standing over her, she shifted her body and sat up, "Yes, I was dead, now I'm alive. Well technically I've been alive this entire time, but now I actually breathe, and have a heartbeat. Can't you hear it?!" The Uordeq flinches once more holding her stomach. Her voice is still raspy from all the screams and transformation. "I'm Arys, by the way." She then looks to Pelle "I never thought it'd be you to kick me out of my own home, Pelle"
Spyder's expression soured as she began to make sense of the situation. She realized that this was the living version of the revenant girl she'd seen around town recently. "You...you had the gift of existing between the realm of the living and the realm of the dead?! The best of both worlds and you GAVE. IT. UP?!" The fae was leaning down to scream the words at the girl by the end of it, her wings wide open like the fins of a pissed off cobra. She may as well have been facing an avatar of Lemesin with the way she bore her teeth and crinkled her nose in outrage. Even the spider on her head had reared back to wave it's front legs at its mistress' current target.
The showed further irritation in his eyes, his mouth curling in a smirk threatening to become a scowl. "No, no, no my poor, misguided woman. I am not the one 'Kicking you out." He points a cold, dead finger at the Urodeq woman. "You brought it upon yourself when you decided to waste all your riches for a second chance at life. You no longer belong here. This measley plot of land belongs to the dead. Come back when you meet those standards again." He kept his eyes on the woman as the fae exploded with anger.
Rasiri smiles as he is insulted by the uppity riven. "Mouthing off to me is a good way to wake up with your stitches removed Pelle. What would I even call you then? Hm. Something I'll have to think about..." Rasiri grimly smirks and then turns to the fairy. "Never been much of a fan of fae folk ma'am. Just keeping an eye out at my back." And then the screaming started... As Rasiri listened to Spyder yell at Ayrs he broke into giggling and as the sound faded he broke into full laughter.
Poppy eyed Rasiri still with skeptism. "You seem quiet the rude one, giving out threats. Maybe if you minded your manners a bit more you'd not have to watch you back?" She said a bit of snap in her tone
She redirected her attention to the actions below her as she could feel the tesion in her comrades rising. " They do have a fair point you know. What did you expect to happen when you changed? This is not exactly a place for the breathing sort. You know?" She said chuckling to herself
Finally gaining enough strength to stand Arys gets back her feet and looks at each person that has surrounded her. Suddenly her entire attitude changes, with every second she begins to develop more true Uordeq personality and traits. She snickers and looks at the Riven that has just told her to leave the graveyard and laughs. "Silly silly thing you, I didn't waste a -gift-" She then stops mid sentence and looks at Spyder "I've simply gotten rid of a dreadful curse that will get in the way of what I need to do." The Uordeq woman attempts to walk once more and once again the black wispy smoke starts to form around her body, this time and evil grin crosses her face, she takes a deep breathe of air and the smoke dissipates from sight. Arys moves around walking closer to Pelle, before she gets to close the a thick black wisp of smoke engulfs the woman and she lands perfectly behind him. "See, this could really come in handy for what I need." She vanishes again rematerialize back in front of him with a sinister grin locked on her face.
"Curse?!" Spyder yelled, "Etejeril cast you into the void, you ungrateful whelp!" She spat in the direction of the new Uordeq as she teleported. The fae then turned wild eyes on the revenant she had brushed off before. Her thin fingers reached for the section of spine and skull at her hip that served as her foci. The skull itself dripped an acrid smelling liquid that killed the grass it fell on. "Mind who you threaten, dead boy." Her rage had suddenly gone from firey like the Pit to cool and calm like the Nether itself. Something flickered through her white eye as if it wasn't exactly sightless. "You never know who has friends willing to bury you." She sneered.
Rasiri smiles at Poppy and Spyder but a sinister glint rides through his eyes that is almost bone chilling. "It is but by my politeness that i don't erase you. I am being polite and i don't like being talked down to.. by any of you actually. It's rather sad you need friends to fight me as well Dark one." Rasiri looks at Arys and the and everyone else gathered. "Personally i like this graveyard because it is nice and tranquil, but now that i know that undead trash like all of you are lurking i don't think i shall visit as often, and beware if i do." Rasiri turns on the spot and walks into the shadow of the tombs and dissapears.
The look in the riven's eyes changed from annoyance to complete anger. "Do you think your new little parlor trick is intimidating? Are you so dense to have forgotten that I can sense your every move!?!" The riven made a step towards the Urodeq woman. "You have forgotten who you are speaking too, Miss Arys, the Former Undead turned Urodeq. We may have had our slight aquaintence in the past, but that has long expired." The riven took another step towards her. "I suggest you take your absence while you are still permitted too and not return without a reason." He stared down the Urodeq, waiting to see what she does.
"A CURSE?" Poppy fluttered down from her perch to see eye level with Arys. "What do you know of curses!" Her face would be flushed red if there was any blood flow to it. " You were blessed with a new start a new being!" "And what do you do you throw it away to the wind" The Fae tempter starting to boil as her voice raised "Well, seeing as you'd rather have fancy pallor tricks rather then a gift. You can leave!" In this fit of anger the fae lost her normal composure and her normal carefulness was gone. Making the fangs in her mouth easy to see by anyone with in a arms reach.
Watching the fae as she flutters down in front of her Arys looks intrigued. After being shouted at by the small fairy, the Uordeq raises her brow. "Hmm what lovely teeth you have, did you even have a choice in it, or were you forced like me? Born into something someone else needed you to be for their own gain!! I hope you ripped their heart out and fed on it before their very eyes, I know I did." Arys snickers once more "I am a child of the great shade, you will regret casting me out. I could have been much use to the lot of you, I was taught great things that you all wish you could do. Now that you have treated me in such disrespect, you'll never gain the knowledge I have should it ever become useful for you." The Uordeq woman laughs a sinister laugh before turning and teleporting out of the graveyard.
There was no mistaking just how fear-inspiring Rasiri appeared. Spyder jammed her thumbs in her ears, spread her fingers open, and blew a loud raspberry at his back. She flitted over to stand beside Poppy, locking eyes with the Uordeq girl, suddenly grave. There was a strange movement in her white eye, almost as if someone else were looking through it. "You are a child of nothing, now. You gave up any tie you had to him when you took your first breath on these grounds. You speak his title as a blasphemer who cast out the very gift of unlife. Go." Her words were like ice, more serious than the fae had been since she arrived in Jastrey.
The Riven watched as the Urodeq teleported away (Seek at Will), unamused by her display. He let out a deep breath as he let his face relax to its usual smile. Turning to the two fae that sttod beside him, he says, "We honestly need to do something about all the nerdowellers in our home. This is becoming quite the bother!" He walked off the the gravestone that still laid on it's side. The words had long since been erroded and no longer legible, yet the riven worked to rigting the stone to it's place.
Poppy's anger flared up more at the Urodeq words, but quickly subsided as she saw her retreat off. Taking a few deep breaths to calm her nerves as she turns to answer to, Pelle. "Umm Yes, this is becoming quiet a bother. Something should definitely be done about it." She said as she unclenched her fist and plobbed back on to the ground.
"Welcome back to the land of the living dear. You'll have to tell me how that feels sometime," A smarmy voice calls from the top of the mausoleum. Rasiri sits with a smile and looks down.
