Rebuilding the Tavern

Galdor returned from the woods, his hood still drawn over his face. With him he carried sevearl basic tools in a bag. He stopped by the charred remains of the tavern as he set down his bag. He grumbled something under his breath as he began to roll up his sleeves. He walked into the broken mess and began pulling debris out, stacking the useful pieces neatly to the side.  He muttered something about "not being his job" as he continued to work.

A short gnome joins him in his work. He brings with him some everwood, to add to the pile of useful materials, but he leaves the everwood in his cart, and then begins working on rebuilding the tavern as well. He mentions that if they had only made it out of everwood from the beginning, then he wouldn't have to be rebuilding it. He grabs a piece of charred wood, which immediately turns to ash. A few steps further, he grabs a nice solid support beam, he salvages what is useful of it, and then puts it in the useful materials pile.

He turns to the elf: "Good of you to be doing this yes yes. Good indeed. Let it be known, if people are willing to go about rebuilding this, then maybe we should be rebuilding this from everwood. I would be happy to provide as much as I can get my hands on, and donations are more than welcome. It will also take a fair amount of time to make this tavern again. Maybe people will volunteer that as well. This could be the last we remake the tavern.. Anyways, nice to see you again there Mr. Galdor."

As he finishes he goes back to picking up charred wood.

Zwey can be seen in the distance, with a felling axe in hand, swinging with quick, strong strokes, shouting, "I' *whack* "DESPISE" *chop* "WITH" *whunk* "ALL" *thunk* " OF MY" *thwak* "BEING". With his last swing, he shouts "HARVESTING EVERWOOD!" The tree falls, and Zwey then with a mighty swing lodges the blade of his axe into the bottom the the tree, and proceeds to drag the trunk towards the tavern.

Galdor continued to sort, hood still drawn enough to hide his eyes. "If we took better care of the tavern in the first place we wouldn't need everwood," Galdor replied to the gnome, hiding his emotions in his voice. A slight bead of sweat rolled down the side of his face as he toiled in the winter sun.

Riddles calls out to the Big Angori chopping Everwood "YOUR TELLING ME HA!" he says, laughing a little. He turns to the elf "Things seem to always happen to this tavern. It may be best if we build it correctly this time, to prevent issues in the future. You never know when a bloody dragon may come back and burn it back to the ground. Might be best if it were to repair itself." he sweats a bit, taking out his weaponsmith's hammer and wrench, and starts to unscrew bolts and nails from the few remaining in-tact beams for later use. "BLOODY BLASTED COGS!" he screams, as he drops the hammer on his toes. He goes back to work immediately, the sound of gold jingling on an adamant chain in his pockets.

"You know, for an Elf you sure do complain alot," said Cail as he shifted a medium size sack off of his shoulder. He set it down next to the Gnome's pile of materials with a solid thunk and jingle of its contents and spoke again.

"Here's a few nails that I... found. I won't be able to stay, however, so if you happen to need more, I'll be in the Library. I could probably conjure up some more if the occasion arises. Good day."

Cail then strode off towards the mages tower ignoring any further conversation.

Ashe hears the commotion in the distance and races to find out what it is all about. Upon arriving he finds that construction is beggining on the new tower; and better yet with portions of everwood. As he enters the clearing where all the hustle and bustle of preperations are taking place he shouts
"Can I help, I can fly way up high and get the nails in the roof, or maybe magic can help with cutting some everwood down? I am a fast messenger and can also spread the word that help is needed."

"Yes yes, but of course! Thank You Mr. Conjurer!" says the plump gnome. "Fairy! Yoo Hoo! Fairy! Yes, you can help! Yes yes, come help!" said the gnome, with a smile and a beckoning wave. The gnome looks frustrated at the lack of his favorite drinking-hole. He stubs his toe on a charred piece of lumber, and swears again (WRENCH SMASHED NUTS!). He looks frustrated, and then storms off in a huff, with his wrench and hammer strapped to his belt.

"OI! GNOME! Go to my wagon," Zwey points to a red and green wagon not far from the tavern, "help yourself to the beverages inside, they should ease the pain in your foot."

Galdor ignored Cail as he continued about his work. The elf stood to the side for a quick break, producing a small flask of blackberry juice as he looked at the area. A good sized area had already been cleared and, with all the extra help, it seemed it wouldn't long before they could begin building. He took a long drink of the sweet juice before getting back into the last of the wreckage.

With the beckoning of the funny gnome Ashe begins flitting about clearing space for the construction.
In short order the fae had cleared a decent portion of what would soon be the rebuilt cooking hall.
Taking a break and thinking of the new cooking hall Ashe soon began to think about food and how he could get his hands on some good delicious fruits and berrys.
"Anyone gots some fruits and berries?" the fae exclaimes loudly.
