Okay, so it's come to my attention that posts in the Conspiracy forum, which is supposed to be restricted to plot members, are fully visible and accessible to everyone from the home page. Naturally, this is a problem, so I'll be turning off that particular feature until I can figure out how to configure it properly. Sorry for the inconvenience; I'll try to get it working again ASAP.
Scratch that. Apparently, my "fix" caused the forums to blow up whenever a member of a group attempted to post to a public forum. That won't fly. I've rolled back the change. I'll try to find another way to do it. In the mean time, be aware that any posts in private group forums will be publicly accessible via the Active Discussions block on the front page.
Okay, it's a complete hack, but I believe I have the forum bug fixed. I had to completely rewrite the forum node_access_records function, so please let me know if you encounter problems.
If I did my coding right, then all posts in group forums should automatically be private to that group. This limits certain functionality that would give groups the option of making them public, but I figured it was the best approach. If you want a topic to be public, just put it in a public forum. If you require closed collaboration of some sort, we can create a new group to accommodate that.
Thoughts? Bugs? Let me know.
By the way, Nick, you're not supposed to have access to the Ebon Hand forum. You're not a member. ;)
how does one get on the plot team? I recall some post on this before hand and never got anymore info on how to apply
