Renaissance Festivals and Fantasy Conventions

Hey gaiz! So, low and behold, I'm writing up a business plan for my leather working business, and I'd like your help! I'm working on drawing up my projected expenses, and one of the major ones will be booth reservations fees at Renaissance Fairs and Fantasy Cons. So I'm wondering if I can pick your brains and get a list of the fantasy cons and ren fairs you guys frequent through out the year. Big or small, I'm just working on getting a list together so I can start making a rough calendar, and I thought who better to ask than my awesome geek friends? (I love you guys)

If you could include the name of the con/ren fair, as well as the location, the time of year they are usually held and a website link to the one you are referring to, I would much appreciate it! You guys are the best!

Much geek love!

There's the faire in Charlotte you know about. MACE is a gaming con in High Point that I go to just about every year. It's not fantasy themed per se, but they usually have a couple of LARPs show up to advertise, so you'll have LARPers and standard gamers as well.

There's WTHCon in Greensoro. I do plan on going to that one next year.

The Ren festival in charlotte is literaly exactly next door to my neigborohood. Use google earth and you will see. Awsome!

I dont know the ren faire circuit very well beyond that.

For the Charolette Festival, are you guys talking about this one?

Thanks for all your help by the way!

Oh, i think you're refereing to ConCarolinas for the Charolette one XD

Slightly off the main topic, but please feel free to advertise your wares on the LARP Network.

Claire, go on my facebook profile and contact Brandon Ellis from my friends.  He has booths at all of the NC conventions and would know all the pricing details and contacts.

Awesome. :) Thank you guys! I'm also looking at stuff beyond NC. Getting a good idea of the surrounding area in about a 10 hour drive radius.

Hi Fancy,
Here's the VA faire's site.  It's in Spotsylvania.

Here's Maryland in Crownsville

And if you're making your range 10 hours, you could do PA, which is near Lancaster in the southern part of the state

Also you could consider DragonCon in Atlanta, although that might be a bit pricy.

Thank you guys so much for all your help. I've already go a possibility for getting a table for MACE in november :)
