I was looking at the map of Nastal and noticed that Jastrey is very close to a river. Has the river been named?
Hey Julie! Stepping in as plot here since Scott isn't on. You'll need to confirm this with him before acting on it, however. I'm unsure of an actual river in Jastrey, but I do know we have several small bodies of water, beyond the obvious lake. I had to catch frogs for Grishal around some of those areas. I THINK there is a river, but don't quote me on it and definitely run it by Scott. Also, Glimmer knows the locations of the rest of the water areas for the most part. Feel free to seek her out in the forums.
Being that we're in inland settlement there should be a feeder river or some other watershed within about 30 miles of Jastrey. While Thad's right and the topology doesn't match either of the maps post shattering, I belive that most of the disucssions lead to Jastrey being on the map that was once known as Sardia. I figure its safe to assume some form of river travel/trade was once available near our town, just nothing as of recently.
I'll let plot decide if there's a river near Jastrey, but there are two pre-established points of lore worth noting. First, there are two Jastreys on the pre-Shattering world map. The other is in Sardia, I believe. Second, the Jastrey we live in doesn't match the topography of either of them, so no one's even sure which Jastrey it is. Read into these facts what you will. ;)
