The sun had just begun to set. Fu appeard upon the path leading to the graveyard. His mind thinking of various ways all of this could go down. Fu prepared himself as he stepped onto the hallowed ground. "How much innocent blood has been spilt here?" Fu thought to himself. He had heard a rumor that Mischeif has taken to the graveyard for their dark acts. Fu shook his head "Now is not the time for such thoughts" He thought to himself with a nod. He stepped out into the open one hand upon the hilt of his blade, the other on it's sheath.
"Mischeif, I am Fu Chu. I have come to speak with you" the dwarf called out listening intently to the shadows, attempting to pierce through the silence.
As Poppy fluttered down Fu took a step back to keep a healthy distance between her and himself. He took a deep breath before he spoke
"It seems the rumors are true.Who is irrelevant Poppy san, I am here out of peace to talk to you and your other members. Only talk." He shuffles his weapon "This is only for my protection, I shall not draw it less I feel threatned."
Fu began to scan the area making sure no other members of Mischeif might be creeping up to attack him from behind.
Pelle walked out of the old Gravekeeper's cabin that he had claimed as his home, a small notebook in his hand. He continued writing his notes as he makes a quick look to the dwarf that had entered the grave. After writing a last scrible to end his sentence, he closes it to give the dwarf his attention. "Fu chu you said? Now, why is it you have come here? If you wish to mourn atthe graves then by all means, just do it quieter. I am not quite fond of being disturbed. Just don't break anything."
Poppy tilts her head to the side examining the dwarves stance and movement for a moment. She places out her arms, palms up for the dwarf to clearly see. "Well,I have nothing on me, you have nothing to fear from me... I don't know where everyone is off the top of my head" she said a little hesitance in her voice. Hearing a door slam she looks up and motions very slowly without making any sudden movement "There is Pelle." she said nodding in his direction. "Why do you need to talk of peace?" She said warily.
Fu took notice to the many face'd one. "So many face'd one your name is Pelle? I shall remember it." He turned his attention on Poppy. "My apologies Poppy san, You were upfront and told me the truth about your vampirism and in return I shall tell you the Truth. I have killed some of your members. I am not here to talk of peace I am here in peace. It is not my wish to do battle, but my blade is here in case any of you do." Fu watched closely the body language of the two members who stood before him. He readied himself for their reaction.
Another member of Mischief was indeed creeping up, but not with the intent of fighting. Not yet, at least. The fae with one foot in the grave flitted to hover beside her comrades, eyeing the dwarf with curiosity that had turned grim. She'd managed to catch the bit about some of her people being killed. Both her green eye and deadened white eye were narrowed and the small spiders in the webbing of her wings seemed to be in a frenzy as if aware of their mistress' displeasure. She didn't speak yet, she'd wait to see how much the dwarf would reveal outright.
The expression drains from Poppy's face and is replaced with a calm look of rage. She clears her throat before speaking "You murdered one of our members? Why and who? and if so why did you come here? it is clearly not to die, so what is the purpose. I appreciate the returned honesty but I sense that may not be all there is to it"
Fu met the glare of the furrowed browed riven. "I am not here asking for peace Pelle. I am here in peace, meaning I am not here to harm any others. I am here to investiage, and no doubt answer questions you may have, if and only if we all remain as we are here, our weapons of choice undrawn." Fu took in his surrondings. 1, 2, 3, plus Trey and The dark eye makes 5. "I will choose my words carefully, and I have also come alone. Make note of that Pelle-san"
Fu looked carefully at the new creature before him. A Fae perhaps, deffinetly one that Fu is not familiar with. He looked to Poppy. "I was not alone, but I come here alone. I do this for clarification. The ones who fell are the Dark eye who's name I do not know and unfortunetly Treygard fell as well."
Fu took off one hand from the sheath of his blade and attempted to change his stance to one that was less menacing. "It was done because of the sacrifice of a small child. The palidins are bound by there code and cannot intervenue. I acted out according to my code of honor. I do not believe in senseless murder. I am here to learn more of those who fell and more about all of you."
"And yet you presume to make me a widow."
The words came flatly, an accusatory statement as her feet touched the ground. The unseelie's usual chipper demeanor drained away as if the chill of nether itself gripped her soul in that moment. Her blackened lips pressed into a hard line, her eyes wide. Something almost seemed to move behind the empty white of her dead eye. One hand tensed so hard her knuckles cracked as it assumed a claw-like shape at her side. The other splayed over the corset that bound her stomach, a huge stone glimmering purple, green, and black on her ring finger. A small skull glimmered inside of the gem.
"That dark eye is my husband."
Before Fuchu could finish his speech it clicked in Poppy's head who were the ones that had gone missing. The fae kneeled down to the earth placing her hand within the earth for a moment before raising her head to speak back to her comrades. "Well, I cant find them within the earth, so your husband and Tre have escaped the reapers at least it seems, Spyder." She states before turning her attention back to Fuchu "I suppose you have that going for you thus far" She said to him in a voice that came out as more of a growl. She moved back to her feet, a glare never faltering from the dwarf.
"Funny it really is, how quickly someone chances sides, one day your a friend, another they are rallying a witch hunt against you because they are angry you let something get sacrificed that was too young to be judged, or maybe because they didn't get to decide it destination" She said scoffing. "But that's not what your here to speak about I assume, Fuchu?" "Rastik is his name incase you are wondering, the dark eye you keep referring too." She snapped back at him. "And you did it because the paladin's could not do anything, I am sorry I am confused as to why you are claiming they are incapable." "And what is it you wanted to know?" She snapped back again it seemed the fae's patience were dissipating fast.
Rex Leans out his door with a bottle in hand and drinks from it. The bottle glows with a light and an essence of health. With gun holsterd he slides his back down a gravestone and plops his druken ass upon the ground. He pats the ground. "sorry friend" and then looks to poppy, with his thoughts and voice slurred his boney fingers go in to quotations "Let something get sacrificed"
"He isn't saying they are incapable. No, I believe he just likes playing Lap dogs to the 'Oh So Holy' Paladins." A cruel grin stretched across the riven's face, anger still very prevalent in his eyes. "Tell me, Master Fu. If they were to throw a stick, would you retrieve it for them? Or perhaps you'd rather beg at their feet for scraps from the Prime?"
Fu met the gaze of the half dead fae and listened quietly. He took in all their words, the words that meant to cut deep but to no avail against the dwarf (withstood). Fu opened his mouth to answer Poppy when Pelle intreuppted his thoughts.
Fu's beard trembled with a growing rage, but he knew why it is he was there. With a deep breath to calm himself he answered. "Holy? Such things are meaningless to a warrior. The only holy things I know of is battle and ale." Fu stretched out his shoulders and allowed his breaths to fill his body. "Would you like to taste either Pelle, san" The honorific he spat out as if clearing his pallet. Fu then Turned to Poppy and the odd fae known as Spyder
"I do not change sides mearly to fit my mood poppy. Speak to Treygard san and he will tell you. I sat and spoke with him before it all happened. I do not hate you Poppy, unlike the palidins I will not leave you for dead if I see you are in need of help, though now I believe you are more likely to kill me instead. The dwarfs hungered for blood after hearing of the sacrifice. I was asked along by my kinsmen and accepted. I did so for my own beliefs. In the end my kinsmen looked to me to make harsh decisions. They wanted to slaughter every last one of you but I vied instead for a warning not slaughter. I do not fault any of you for following your beliefs, but to sacrifice a child to the Destroyer was too much for me to ignore. I came here as I said before to understand you better and to clear misunderstandings."
As for your husband." Fu said eyeing Spyder carefully, her dead eye made him feel uncomfortable "I did not know dark eyes were allowed to marry or even understood such concepts." Fu became lost in thought but quickly snapped back "It was not my intention to make a widow of you nor anyone else, up until now I did not even know you."
"Perhaps you should consider those details before you follow a group of bloodthirsty beards. Their victim may have a woman waiting for them at home." Rex making his presence known earned some of her ire as well. She sneered in his direction, pointing him out to FuChu. "Or maybe consider that the bag of bones who baited those dwarves had a personal stake in this witch hunt. If the Paladins came for us, it would be because of their beliefs and who they follow. That one decided to start all this not because he wanted justice, but because he wants to further his power in his own deal with death. He felt he had something to gain from the situation. He used you and the rest of the Stormbringers. And you all fell for it."
The fae attention is snapped first to the drunk Rex his altered state makes her look over what he had said towards her. she squints at the bottle for a moment pondering 'surely that glow looks familiar' before the realization hits her like a ton of bricks 'he drinking a fucking healing potion'. Before she can address the Revenant she hears Spyder chime in about him. Content with leaving it at what Spyder said she shifts her attention back toward the dwarf.
Clearing her throat before starting again "No, besides killing members of my family I have no hostility towards you, FuChu. If I walked into the stormbringers dwelling, greeted you and then told you I killed any of your brethren. I doubt you greet me with a smiling face. So sorry, if my tone is a little less then warm. But.." She stopped for a moment processing the rest the dwarf had to say "Yes, the night we returned the town was a bit chaotic." She said laughing dryly before her expression fell flat and cold again "I will check your word against Trey's, if it turns out you are lying we will find you." The fae said eyeing Fuchu cautiously. Some of her rage seeming to subside, but however her body language still read as very tense and on edge. She takes a deep breath once more "I do not follow the Destroyer. My worship lies elsewhere" She said patting the bracer on her arm marked with an inverse crescent moon. "Though I doubt that matters with the Stormbringers or the paladins"
"Well, are you really surprised they fell for it? After all, it fits perfectly with their own agendas and the like." The riven scoffed at the meer thought of the dwarves. "Luckily for you, Master Beard, for I respect my companions plans. But do they deem fit, I will have no trouble finding you. Afterall, Eastern Dwarf beard is fairly rare. Anybody would be proud to have one in their possession." His grin seemed to grow as he stared at the dwarf, seeming to dare him to do something.
Spyders words cut the dwarf deep. Her last remarks made his rage boil but he too knew the feeling of loss. The sad reminder smoothered his rage. "Spyder-san, if I may call you that, How is it you were married to your husband? I am unfamiliar with both dark eyed and Fae marriage customs." He then turned to the drunken Rex. "And you Bones-san does what Spyder-san say have any merit?"
Fu listened closely to Poppy as she spoke. "Poppy-san your words are fair. I came here to admit what I have done so there would be nothing left to chance." Fu shook his head "Yes you will be able to find me because I do not hide. I will await you if you so see fit, however; Threats are not wise Pelle. A fool and his head are easily parted. Though I come here by myself, I am not alone. I carry many with me." He says as he glares and Pelle. His expression softens as he shifts again to Poppy. "It may not matter to other Stormbringers but I will remember your worship does not lie with the Destroyer Poppy-san."
"You may." She answered, crossing her arms over her chest. A large, black and orange furred spider crawled from her bosom to perch on her shoulder. "We're married the same as anyone else."
Her normal eye began to twitch as she struggled to maintain her composure as FuChu threatened Pelle in what they had claimed as their own territory.
Poppy answer shortly after Spyder's remark. " Marriage is not limited to certain races" She said shaking her head at the dwarf's bafflement.
'I-" She stops herself from saying anything about his remark towards Pelle holding her tongue for now. She takes another deep breathing trying to remain composed as she directs her excessive energy digging her claws into one of the tombstone heads. "Good. Is there anything else you wish to know or speak of, Fuchu?" The fae said her voice still remaining calm.
"Yes, yes. It is well known that you wag your tail between both the Dwarves and the Paladins of Jastery. Both have wished me dead for quite some time, so that is not much of a warning." The Riven continued to meet the dwarves glare with one of his own, with his added defiant grin. "
Fu shook his head "No, there is nothing else I wish to learn from you" he said sadly as he turned to leave "I will weigh each of your actions seperatly, the actions of one will not damn all of you" He said flashing one final glare to Pelle.
He carefully made his way to the exit of the graveyard.
"Now who would of told you that, FuChu?" The fae said as she fluttered down landing from her perch from above where she had been watching the Dwarf as he made his way through her home. "Now what is it I can help you with today?" She chirped in a manner that seemed to cheerful for this place.
